UPDATED: APR 19, 2009 Cloudy maize with a towering rocky off white head, this beers has a very fruity nose with tons of citrus. Yeasty throughout with a fruity sweet middle and spicy lingering finish. Peach notes play a moderate role.

Extremely hugenormus head. Going down pretty quick, though. A bit citrusy and bready tasting. A lot smoother than it looked to be at first. Good stuff.

Loved everything about it, with the only possible downside being its almost too effervescent. It bubbles some in the mouth like champagne. Wouldnt know its 8% from the taste, very smooth, and not overly sweet like some other high alcohol beers.

I had this at the Great Arizona Beer Festival in Phoenix. I had this right after Blanche de Chambly and this is much better. Nice and smooth.

(on bottle)"The end of the world"? Well, looking for the best in every style, one might have reached the pinnicale of trpels. This is a great beer. Sent and taste is, so-so, about the same parameters, but as long as it has this level, it fine with me. So what does it smell and taste like? We had to try a few bottles, before all the impressions could be writen.Aroma of peach and abricot and behind that, some vanilla.Has a very smooth, creamy, velvety mouth feel. Wonderfull. The closest I can get in taste impression is to compare it with a spiced carrot cake, with that cheese/vanilla icing...

Hazy yellow/gold color with a medium white head. Sweet citrusy aroma. Sweet, but not overly so. Flavor of citrus and spices(coriander?). Hides the alcohol content very well. Another winner from Unibroue.

Nice frothy white head that diminished fairly quickly. Hazy pale orange body. Sensed malty breadlike aromas, along with citrus and pine. Slides through your mouth, you dont drink it,it escapes down your throat. Sweet and citrus gives way to a pleasant bitter aftertaste

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2005 On tap at the Maple Tree Inn, La Fin du Monde has a lower level of carbonation than the bottled version, but the taste & aroma hold true. A hazy golden body with a sustained white, frothy head, it greetes you with a mildly fruity aroma. Theres a definite alcohol presence, toffeed malt, with a citric, peppery finish. I like Unibroue. They do interesting, tasty things.
