Yeasty, malty, and a high alcohol content that hides itself until the end. A really good beer but the bar is so high with Unibroue’s other offerings like Trois Pistoles, Le Terrible, etc., that this one is a bit of let down. It is definitely a fine beer but it’s a lesser Unibroue offering.

750ml bottle poured into a stemmed chalice glass. Murky gold with a small amount of carbonation with a decent initial head. Aroma of sweet malt and fruit with notes of banana. Light body with some spice. Alcohol kick towards the finish.

A classic Belgium triple. But I do not think I like it as much as the karmeliet triple. I would have to try them side-by-side ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 330 ml at 515 Kitchen and Cocktails, Santa Cruz. Pours dark golden with small white head. Some fruit, esters, yeasty, sweet, bit spicy, low carbonation. Bit warming, even some alcohol coming through. Some bitterness in finish. Medium bodied. OK, but expected more, had way better Tripels.

An exceptional tripel and one of the best outside Belgium. Strong and very aggressive spice character. Lots of fruit, clove, and pepper. Delish!

Fantastic beer. Fruity esters give the beer a unique and sweet flavor while maintaining a very balanced flavor profile. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, pours a light amber, almost yellow with a huge lasting head. Sweet and complex. Very smooth and not at all boozy like a 9% could be. Malts. Biscuits. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
