3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It pours dark mahogany with ruby highlights; the head is bone and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: cardamom, cloves, yeast funk, hay, figs, and alcohol. The taste is dry that finishes light bitter; there are notes of: cloves, figs, a tiny bit of burnt coffee, and lots of alcohol. The palate is full bodied, slick, medium carbonation, and a long finish. Overall, when this is young it’s very closed - definitely needs a couple of years to perk up.
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2017 341ml bottle. Black with a thick foamy beige head. Flavors are yeast, bread, banana, raisins, spices, licorice, chocolate and alcohol with herbal notes. Full body, good carbonation, oily texture. Mindwarp (294) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 4, 2017
Pours Black with the big tan head. The aroma is of dark fruit and the flavor is more of a spice taste. Cloves? Overall a pretty good quad not my favorite though. sinfull (1798) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - NOV 3, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 3, 2017 Dark brown with big, off-white head. Aroma of Belgian yeasts, raisins dark fruits, toffees , malt an hint of chocolate. Rich , moderately sweet taste . No signs of alcohol. Great. coachd (932) - Missouri, USA - OCT 13, 2017
Spicy aroma that also contains dark malt, some plum/fig and booze. Dark brown color with a tan head. Very pleasant to drink, well balanced and slightly sweet on the aftertaste. Just a tinge of booze heat but in this instance it serves to balance things out. A bit light on the palate. I would never have believed that this beer is 10.5% ABV. Quads are not usually my thing but Unibroue knocked it out of the park with this one. TEJA (3257) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 20, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2017 bottle from monks cafe sveavägen. very short head. clear dark brown color. oxidized caramell malt aroma. nice caramell and fruit taste with a tuch of mint. low bitterness.

Backlog, bottle. Pours a dark brownish black with a medium beige head. Notes of fig, roasted malts, belgian fruit, cocoa, coffee roast, misc nuts, and random spice Medium to heavier body with a long, warming, close. azzurro (419) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2017
I wanted to finish my 150th with a great beer. I got this one as a trade with a friend, bullseye. partchapol (143) - Ohio, USA - JUN 17, 2017
Smell of yeast, caramel, date, roasted malt. Come in black dark brown with thin cream crown. Taste of balanced sour yeast and sweet bitter malt, with some raisins. Close to Belgium quadruple beer but with less spice for commoners like us. Could experiment more on that. Overall it’s very good beer. ryecatcher (1466) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 14, 2017
750mL. I’m not gonna bore you with the same details everyone else already posted on this. I will say that given expectations (and given that I generally like the brewer) this one was a bit of a letdown. So many better Quads. Who knows. Maybe it’s an old bottle. Oh and... fuck the Penguins. rami_pl (4420) - Warszawa, POLAND - JUN 7, 2017

Suszone owoce, ciemne owoce, przyprawowosc (pieprz? Gozdziki?ciut kolendry?), melasa, karmel, nieco syropowe, raczej slodkawe w odbiorze [..
Rami Rami: [...] zajebiscie ukryte alko (ciut grzeje i nic ponad to). Sporo CO2. Generalnie klasa piwo, dla mnie ewidentnie najlepsze z Unibroue
Rami Rami: Zaskakujaco lekkie w odbiorze, jak dubbel niejeden
