UPDATED: AUG 26, 2006 Poured a dark golden color, some dark sediment in the glass, with a large off white head that quickly diminished and left slight lacing. Fruit and yeast mixes with a sweet aroma. The taste was sweet and citrusy, but not as in a citrus hop taste. Goes down very smooth, you can’t tell this is 8%. Orangy-brown colored with an off-white head. Plenty of fruit in the aroma with hints of malt and yeast. Flavor was fruity and slightly spicy. Very smooth. Another solid beer by Unibroue. FtWorthBrew (105) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - AUG 19, 2003
Reminds me of a cross between Trois Pistoles and a nice red. Not bad but not particualrly great. I would rather have one or the other not both. McWhite (108) - Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 18, 2003
Ruby brown appearance with a white bubbly head. Smelled of coriander. The taste was of coriander and lemon which also included fruits. My favorite of the Unibroues I've had. EKGoldings (664) - Radford, Virginia, USA - AUG 9, 2003
I've had this many times in bottles both in Montreal and the USA. A really complex beer with dry fruit, malt, yeast and honey nose, taste is complex and finish long. A perfect beer to sip by a fire on a cold winter's night.

I got this in a grab bag. Interesting flavor, has a hint of orange. A beer worthy of The Dean. BroueNeault (158) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 30, 2003
Probably my favourite Unibroue beer (along with trois-pistoles). A nice colour and a nice head. The aroma is yeasty, fruity and spicy. A good texture and a taste of yeast, malt and spices. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JUL 29, 2003
Nice appearance, medium brown with a pretty, lasting, creamy head, a bit of haze. Aroma was unremarkable, just some Belgian yeast and sweetness. The flavor was also unremarkable. Nice, balanced, vaguely Belgian in nature, but nothing really jumped out beyond a house yeast flavor. Although I like the Unibroue yeast (reminds me of the DT's yeast), it isn't enough of a flavor to base a beer around. Well made, but sort of boring. adwoan99 (305) - Ft. Pours dark brown, with a creamy off-white head. Quickly diminishes leaving no lacings. I smell sweet malt, and some chocolate. Tastes a little bitter, but the alcohol content is very well hidden. Mouthfeel is smooth, goes down easy. Overall very nice - haven't enjoyed a beer this much in a while. humulus (339) - Salem, Missouri, USA - JUL 28, 2003
Mellow-smooth palate, light aroma and sweet apple-citrus flavor. A fizzy, delicious treat.
