Brown in color, with large, creamy white head. Creamy, sweet aroma, slightly spicey. Flavor is malty and smooth, slightly sweet, creamy, with subtle alcohol throughout, and a hint of vanilla. Fulkrum78 (175) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 10, 2003
Beautiful reddish color, hazy. Nice light aroma. Bursts on the tongue with carbonation. Another good Unibroue beer! Nuffield (4172) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - MAR 9, 2003
Very nice, but not outstanding. Pours a hazy red/copper, surprisingly large carbonation bubbles (could have been the effect of my glass, though) and a bit of yeast at the bottom. Nice, drinkable flavors, but slightly weak (compare Victory V10, which is at the opposite end of the flavor intensity spectrum), yeasty, fruity, slightly sweet. Goes down shockingly fast. ultraspank (867) - Alverca, Lisboa, PORTUGAL - MAR 4, 2003
Nose of wheat and spice, vanilla comes out as brew warms. Pours a clear coper with amber highlights. The large off-white fizzy head is mostly lasting with fair lacing. The flavor is balanced but not particularly deep, and just a tad sweet. The medium dry body is fizzy with a very dry finish. Nothing outstanding about this one, but I would drink again. hoorayforbeer (105) - Denton, Texas, USA - MAR 2, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 4, 2003 Pours a murky amber. Nice aroma: malt and dark fruit with spices and yeast. Mellow fruit flavors with yeast and malt. The spicy blend lingers in the aftertaste.

Cloudy red color with a big head. Yeast aroma. Flavor is sweet, tart, fruity, spicy and yeast. Dry and sour finish. akinm (282) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 28, 2003
alcohol, yeast, and sweetness abound in the nose. the golden red body holds up a head that is comprised of huge bubbles that dissipate fairly quickly thanks to the high alcohol. the flavor has lots of fruits and lots of alcohol in it with a little bit of a yeast bite in the end. Deep amber color with a voluminous light tan head. Ton of fruit blended with orange zest, coriander and white pepper. Dry honey finish. that lingers. Warming and pleasant. vector (163) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 24, 2003
Rich copper colored, huge coarse head on pour. Noticibly malty, high ABV covered reasonably well. Touch of bitterness. Good ale overall, however I preferred the sweet, golden La Fin Du Monde. For some reason I am amused by the concept of a flying canoe.

Spice and apple in the aroma. Nice white head, good carbonation, appearance looks a lot like cloudy apple juice. Malty, spicy, and a hint of fruitiness in the flavor. ABV is not noticeable.
