(750ml bottle) Purchased at Metro Joannette in Montreal for $5.99. Pours a thin, white, dissipating frothy head and a very good, golden carbonated body. Nose of belgian yeast, coriander and vanilla. Nice light flavour, a throwback to pre-2000 Unibroue perhaps Eau Benite. Very smooth and creamy with mellow orange rand and coriander. Good. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 22, 2008
The Dan Journal #225. Tasted 8/11/08. 750ml cork and cage. Hazy with a golden hue. Activated. Clinging white head. House aromas with notes of pepper and banana. Touch citrus. Medium to full bodied. Similar characteristics in the palate. Bright and crisp with a tingling effervescence. Solid and ready to drink! vyvvy (6476) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - AUG 22, 2008
I sure expected a lot more from this than it delivered. I thought for a one off this would be something special, but it seemed like a bigger version of a blonde or smaller version of a tripel. Pours golden / orange with lots of carbonation and a off-white bubbly head. The aroma has banana esters, black pepper, smooth sweet malt and Unibroue style yeast. Medium smooth body that’s fairly slick with lively carbonation. The flavor begins with sweet malt that’s offset by a peppery spice and yeast. The finish brings in candied bananas. A good beer, but nothing too special. Most of their year round beers are significantly better. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - AUG 20, 2008
Hazy yellow with a fizzy white head. Sweet malty fruity banana taste with nice carbonation. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - AUG 20, 2008
Bottle: The aroma is a combination of yeast, banana, apple, floral notes, and faint spice. It pours a hazy pale gold with a moderate white head with decent retention. The flavor starts with yeast and banana. There is some faint orange peel in the background. It finishes with light-medium floral hops, lemon, and light coriander. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, but not prickly. You pretty much get what you’d expect from Unibroue. If you like their beers, you should like this one as well.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma is yeast with fruit. Taste is fruit and yeast and spice, nice body. Not worth the premium. beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 17, 2008
Pours a cloudy golden color with a thick, white head. The aroma is yeasty and phenolic, reminds me of Don de Dieu with its soft banana candy feeling. Flavor of herbs, yeast, fruits, spîces, i don’t find the Don de Dieu feeling, but it’s still close to other Unibroue products, like if they would have blended Don de Dieu, Fin du Monde and maybe another beer. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and medium to lively carbonation. It’s interesting, but far from Unibroue’s best products. 750ml bottle: Kind of a quiet brew for Unibroue, but on the plus side, not quite so gassy and overly carbonated as most of theirs. It poured a hazy gold body with a respectable, fizzy head. The aroma was sweet pale malt, coriander, lemon, and a light floral bouquet. Tasted pretty much as the smell advertized, only with a pleasant floral bitterness that increased in the dry finish. Not bad.HogTownHarry (6872) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 14, 2008

Bottle (750ml - corked & caged). Shared by blankboy with me, garthicus, GregClow and jerc. Very hazy pale gold, huge fluffy white head. Dry pungent yeasty aroma, light sweet candy malt. Taste - light, dry, lemony and yeasty, very light malt body, hardly any alcohol. Light body, dry bitter finish. Interesting, unmemorable - nice sharp lemon. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - AUG 12, 2008
750 split two ways. Hazy golden in color, with a pretty big off white head that dissipates but retains well. Aroma- alot of spice as well as the great unibroue yeasty character. Taste is alot of spices, yeasty and musty, phenolic, with a creamy sweetness and a very light hop bittering finish. Pretty nice, would have liked less spices.
