750 ml bottle. Opaque whitish yellow with an okay white head. Smells very spicy, peppery. Tastes like yeast and bread. Very little bitterness, leaves an aqueous, humid feel in the mouth. Medium bodied. Good summer ale. SpringsLicker (3665) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 11, 2012
Opens with a resounding POP!
Pours clear light gold into the glass with a tall, lasting white head that laces nicely.
Fruity clean aroma. Very nice.
Lightly sweet flavor that follows the fruity aroma.
Medium bodied, lively. SudsMcDuff (8468) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Brian Sucks! .. . Pours a basic brown .. good foam as always from unibro brews .. . light caramel, yeast, and brown yeast .. . a good beer but nothing to astonishing .. . . andy murray just won gold at the olympics... solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - AUG 4, 2012
Smells yeasty. Pours cloudy blond, like a hefe or triple. Taste has the same yeast profile as a lot of Unibroue beers, I guess it’s the "on lees." These lees leave a bit of cloying sourness at the end which takes away from the overall beer, but otherwise it’s decent, enjoyable. Big points for low price, in Quebec at least. Bottle from Peluso. portableparty (2379) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - AUG 1, 2012
750 ml bottle 2008? Pours hazy bright gold/orange with a lively carbonation and a thin tight film. Aroma has a strong hay/grass scent along with subtle yeast and mild sweetness. Taste is good malt sweetness some yeast and mild funk/fruitiness and spice. Palate is clean crisp and shows (at times) some heaviness and finishes chalky and dry. Drinks well and is pretty enjoyable and mellow.

A: Hazy golden/amber body with a dense and thick white head, lots of fine carbonation bubbles from the nucleation point.
S: Very clean aroma, though a tad faint, I am picking up some citrus or lemons, banana and clove hiding beneath the head. Some other fruits are coming through, this has a fruity aroma for sure, a tad sweet.
T: Slight lemon and grape with some caramel and honey upfront but the yeast takes over with a strong banana flavor, mild cloves. A chalky yeast aftertaste lingers with some pear flavors.
M: Creamy and fizzy, this beer still has solid carbonation.
O: The yeast is certainly dominating this at this point, but there’s still great complexity to this and a lot to pick out. I am enjoying this, though beware the cork comes out with some spunk.
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 2008 presumably. Pours hazy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger foamy white head with ok retention, that reduces to lacing ring that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of big grape, apple, pear, apricot, pepper, floral, clove, lemon, caramel, honey, herbal, earth, and yeast spices. Nice and well balanced aromas with good complexity. Taste of grape, pear, apple, apricot, pepper, biscuit, floral, clove, caramel, yeast spices, and slight butterscotch. Lingering notes of apple, apricot, grape, pepper, clove, biscuit, and caramel on the finish for a good bit. Nice flavor balance with good complexities. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a fairly slick and slightly creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is very well hidden, with hardly any warming present after the finish. Very smooth to sip on as well. Overall this is a very nice Belgian strong pale ale. Nice complexity and flavor balance; and extremely smooth to sip on. boto (2261) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - MAR 25, 2012
750ml bottle, 2008 vintage: This one pours a hazy golden color. There was an inch of a dense, white foam on top. No lacing. This one has a nice nose. Yeasty, bready, wheat and peppery spices are the main ones. Maybe a touch of lemon and banana also. The taste is quite good. Medium to full bodied, yet an almost lighter feel to the taste. Touch of lemon, peppery spice, wheat, yeastiness. Another nice beer from them. penguinjive7 (72) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 26, 2012
This brew pours a pale golden color with a smaller head than I would expect from the style considering the vigerous pour. The smell is largely of cloves and spice with some yeasty tones as well. The clove is defintely the first flavor the hit the palate and slowly melds into yeasty fruit. A pleasant brew to drink overall, but a bit one-dimentional for the style. I expected a bit more from this brew. It was very easy to tell that this one comes from Unibroue in terms of it’s flavor profile. That being said, I have had better from this brewery but this one is definitely woth a shot.
