UPDATED: MAY 15, 2007 750ml. Odd nose of yeast and fruit. Good looking color, ruby & clear. Taste is very upfront, tart & sweet. Not too beer like, but still very enjoyable. Thin mouth feel that really quenches a thirst. Over ice or served hot? Hummmm....

From old tasting notes. Translucent brown color. Sour cherry aroma. Sweet and sour cherry malt flavor hints at spices. Although it is recommended to heat to 100 degrees, it is quite tasty served at 50 degrees. Very unique and flavorful.

Bottle at 2016 Xmas gathering, 2010 vintage. Pours brown tea. Tart cherries, some peach. Light body, no carbonation. Had it both room temp and warm. Certainly way better warm, like a nice mulled wine.

Bouteille 750ml, 2009, bottle share. Un gros merci Tommy! Couleur cuivré foncée voilée, aucune mousse. Arôme de cerise, cannelle, malt. Goût de cerise, cannelle, sucré, madère. Carbonatation faible, corps moyen-dense.

Many thanks to tom10101 for another rare gem! 2009 vintage that I drank straight from the cellar. Pours a clear red with no head or lacing. Nose is of cherries and light strawberry jam. Taste is of cherries with a light "Rockets" TM candies character. Sweet but not too sweet. Body is medium , carbonation light to medium and mouthfeel is syrupy. A really nice one! Almost no signs of its age!

bottle at tom’s epic tasting 2016 - 2009 vintage. drunk room temperature and on ice, like disney stuff. pours cloudy medium dark golden orange without a head. lots of sweet cherries, aniseed, toasted sassafras, sweet calvados, lots of spices. low carbonation, medium body - oily; sweet and spicy finish. aged quite well - good and quite complex cherry tart ale.

2009 bottle shared at tasting. On the rocks. Aroma: nice cherry, really really subtle acetic notes, oxidated a tad but still really pleasant. App: brown like a good old rum, no head. Taste and palate: light body, great complex cherry, really subtle acidity finish. Overall: impressive. Can’t believe this beer is 7 years old. it aged so well. Really impressed by this beer and how it aged that well. Gave it a few more points for that.

2002 Vintage. Rusty light brown with very little head. Aroma is cherry, spices, red wine. Medium-full bodied, sweet on the palate. Taste is cherry wine, mulling spices.
