Strong Belgian type ale similar to a Port wine ! Is as dark as can be, mellow in taste with an aroma of ripe fruits. It can be compared to an old porto and is brewed from well roasted malt.

This is a nice strong Belgian. Yeast is readily apparent, but not obtrusive. It is best sipped, and I drank it semi-chilled. Fruity and quite rich.

Smells of rum and molasses, deep cloudy brown color. There is a mild barley wine or winey taste to this that hints at the alcohol content in this. Medium body on this and the initial flavors fade to grapey notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours a very dark brown with a fluffy, beige head and nice lacing. The aroma is dark fruit and subtle spice and bread. The taste is cherry, plum, raisin, fig, and slight spice. It's really smooth with some nice carbonation. The subtle sweetness fades into a tartness. It drinks very easy for the high alcohol content. I can see the port wine qualities. This is very good.
