Draft at Snallygaster DC on October 13th, 2012. A guy who works in distributing handed me a pour of this one - I never had heard of Union Craft Brewing. Was pretty impressed. Nice dark color, good malt aroma, light bitter taste. Looking forward to trying more, especially the one with duckpin in the name.
Can from State Line. Nose deep, rich baker’s chocolate with a little scorched/burnt roast, interesting. Pour medium brown that doesn’t get a whole lot darker in the glass, head is large and dense, rocky light tan. Watery and lightly airy light body, lightly sweet with low bitterness, nice waves of chocolate, nothing overdone. Not tart, barest wisp of malt, very thin but clean, bright, simple, straightforward, well executed. As the dudebros say, super crushable. [2017.08.21: 3.3] jonas (7757) - Garching b. UPDATED: OCT 23, 2016 Draft. Brewery serves it too cold. Aroma of Baker?s chocolate. Flavors of that, toasted bread crust. Mouthfeel and the finish is reminiscent of a chewy dark rye. Slightly watery cocoa at the end. jde123 (775) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - SEP 17, 2016
Not a bad one here. Caramel taste, dark, somewhat burnt(?), flavor, but not at all unpleasant.

12oz can in a tulip. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of pale malts, hints of roast and chocolate, some light bitterness, and some toast/bread. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer for the style, but sort of boring. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - NOV 1, 2015
Can at Villain & Saint. Deep, dark brown body with slight mocha head. Nose is malts, coffee and chocolate. Taste also malty, but also hop notes that balance it out. Crisp finish. radio_nowhere (1472) - Maryland, USA - AUG 9, 2015
Can into lager glass, crazy bubbly deep rusty brown color with much light tan head. Aroma notes of light roasted malt, caramel, light coffee and earthy hops. Taste adds light cocoa, bread, tad smokiness and grass bitterness. Light body, heavy carbonation, crisp with clean roast finish. Once the over carbonation of this can settled a refreshing, flavorful dark lager.
