CBC 2013. Hazy golden pour with a fluffy off-white head. Lemons and light citrus on the aroma with touches of yogurt. Lightly tart lemon flavor with doughy malts. Tasty. MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 13, 2013
hay, puffy white head laces everywhere. Heavy lacto nose racked with green apple. Green apple and wheat flavor up front, huge citric and lactic mid before finishing green apple skin. Very lactic throughout. nimbleprop (8922) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 29, 2013
On tap at Meridian Pint. Pours a very hazy, cloudy bright yellow with some frothy, white head. Nose has some lemon, slightly pithy, some grass, plenty of fresh yogurt. Flavors of grass, strong flavor of grain, lemon peel, yogurt. Finishes zippy and refreshing. Neat. Brigadier (3780) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - APR 28, 2013

My first pour at Max’s over lunch was this very different take on the berliner weiss. Tasting and looking more like a ginger beer it is the sort of light sessionable option that is perfect with a burger. It is also my first experience with Union and Meridian; perhaps I should give them a second look.
Aroma / Appearance - The cloudy golden base shimmers with mild carbonation. Smelling like a fresh homemade ginger beer it lacks any alcohol presence at all (no shocking given it is less than 3% ABV).
Flavor / Palate - Soft and sweet like flat ginger ale it sweetens the taste buds. Very sessionable and gentle on the palate it still has plenty of flavor. I could polish off a full growler solo easily.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy yellow.
Aroma: Aroma of wheat, slightly tart.
Taste: Wheat, faint sweetness, tart.
Summary: My second beer from Union Craft Brewing, and each time they impress me. Maybe the only tart beers I enjoy routinely are berliner weisse..also interesting that Union seems to be trying to brew in non-standard style(ie APA, IPA, Imperial Stout). I appreciate that.
Tap at Birroteca, Baltimore.Tart wheat nose (strangely enough)
Cloudy yellow low head.
Nice balance of tart citric, light hoppy ?, fruity grainy, a bit salt/clay.
Medium body, sparkly mouthfeel

Draft. Medium white head atop cloudy pale straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, light wheat, funk. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, fair amount of sweetness to go with the sourness. Light body, light acidity, effervescence. Gets a bit to lemonade-y. Travlr (26404) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 2, 2013
Draft. Murky yellow, bright white edge head. Aroma of earthy lemonpeel. Taste is earthy and softly sour lemon. Straightforward and on style. radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Tap at Meridian Pint for CBC. Thanks GT2! This one poured a really, really hazy bright and vibrant straw color, light gets through, but you can’t see anything. Medium sized nice white head. Aroma is really funky, full of barley notes - a bit like smelling a soup full of barley and not much else - except not. I don’t know what I was thinking when I came up with that one last night. Anyway, flavor is full of barley and plenty of nice tart, acidic notes. Full bodied for 2.7. Not an expert on this style, but I liked it.
