COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This generously hopped pale ale is a strike in your mouth! Brewed with lots of Pacific Northwest & New Zealand hops this beer is ten frames of big citrus and tropical fruit aroma and flavor. A strong malt backbone rounds it out and makes this pale ale a delight for the senses. The pins may be small but the flavor is huge! In our town, we roll Duckpina true Baltimore original.

Sampled at GABF 2016 with Paul and Larry. Pours a bright orange body with white lacing. Mouthfeel is light bodied and smooth on the palate with notes of clean malt and bitter citrus fruit. Sessionable enough.

Solid APA with some restrained tropical notes, good balance and solid malt backbone. Citrus hopiness up front gives way to slightly spicy finish. Good beer.

The thing that makes Duckpin so darn good is its perfect, crisp finish after a nice malty pull. I like pale ale of almost every stripe, but this beer catapulted from obscurity to the top of my list because the balance is exquisite. Union isnt pandering to hop freaks here, or slumming it in (watery) legacy-beer territory. They put in quality ingredients and got everything right. Its a beer you will never be sad to own until its the last one in your fridge.

Burnished gold color with a foamy white head. Big earthy herbal hop nose. Strong malt backbone with lots of grassy, herbal hop bitterness. Long pinching grassy hop finish.

Hazy golden body under a thick foamy white head. Big hop nose, pine resin, grapefruit and lime. Balanced flavor, plenty of PNW hops with just enough malts to keep it sessionable. Flavor lingers long and peppery with tart citrus. ~~~~ 12 oz. can, purchased "somewhere in Baltimore" (according to my wife).
