Sampled at GABF 2016 with Paul and Larry. Pours a bright orange body with white lacing. Mouthfeel is light bodied and smooth on the palate with notes of clean malt and bitter citrus fruit. Sessionable enough. Jayb0 (1218) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - OCT 22, 2016
Solid APA with some restrained tropical notes, good balance and solid malt backbone. Citrus hopiness up front gives way to slightly spicy finish. Good beer. cymyn (8) - - OCT 18, 2016 does not count
The thing that makes Duckpin so darn good is its perfect, crisp finish after a nice malty pull. I like pale ale of almost every stripe, but this beer catapulted from obscurity to the top of my list because the balance is exquisite. Union isn’t pandering to hop freaks here, or slumming it in (watery) legacy-beer territory. They put in quality ingredients and got everything right. Its a beer you will never be sad to own until its the last one in your fridge. brigg (719) - New York, USA - SEP 22, 2016

Burnished gold color with a foamy white head. Big earthy herbal hop nose. Strong malt backbone with lots of grassy, herbal hop bitterness. Long pinching grassy hop finish. frankenkitty (2014) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - MAY 29, 2016
Hazy golden body under a thick foamy white head. Big hop nose, pine resin, grapefruit and lime. Balanced flavor, plenty of PNW hops with just enough malts to keep it sessionable. Flavor lingers long and peppery with tart citrus. ~~~~ 12 oz. can, purchased "somewhere in Baltimore" (according to my wife). a true Baltimore original, apparently .. . amber .. mild head, good easy lacing .. mouth has a bit of teen strength .. finish has a bit of it going on but laid back .. i’d drink this if i was a duck who bowls; and i’m picturing a bowler hat. it’s kinda a dream of mine. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - MAR 31, 2016
Bright gold appearance with a large, cream colored head and good lacing. Aroma of straw overshadowed by floral, fruity hops. Crisp, dry, bitter flavor that has the traditional pale ale underpinnings. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Competes favorably against better known breweries with a wider distribution network. Actually prefer this in a can as opposed to on tap.
