A dash of salt. A touch of tart. That’s what makes this unique German-style wheat beer a seasoned professional at serious summer thirst quenching. With its glowing golden color, peach & citrus nose followed by a prickly mouthfeel that leaves a gentle tartness and a dash of salt on the palate, the Old Pro never fails to bring you back for another sip.

COLOR: Straw/pale – Gold
MALT: Wheat, Pils, Acidulated
ADJUNCTS: Salt, Corriander Seed
YEAST: Lactobacilus, German Ale

355ml can. Hazy gold pour. Aroma is lactic sour. Flavor is strawberry rhubarb and lemon, complex.

Post tasting thoughts:
Really nice traditional amero-styled kettle gose.

Sampler at Eggspectation Chantilly. Poured light yellow with a white head. Lovely salt tartness on The nose and tongue. Finsjhed clean. Nice example of style especially paired with pretzels.

Refreshing, tart, sour, and salty, without being too much of any of those things.

Can. Super-tart grapefruit and lime. Salt gives the beer some balance. Some spice, some bread on the back of the palate. Wish this were a little gentler and emphasized the creamy palate the wheat would give it.

Thanks Carl! Super sour. Funky gym sock smell. Taste was pretty fruity and sweet but also massively tart. Okay.

4/21/17. Can thanks to Carl! Golden pour with a small white head. Suspect aroma, hints of butyric acid, gym socks and butter, some sour apple, funk, fruitiness. Better flavor, lemon peel, pears, screams canned fruit cocktail........ eh.

Can from Greg g. Nose isn’t that great and a bit muted. Body is a bit of a shock at first, sour apple and underlying cereal with thicker salt mouthfeel at the end. Really turned on about halfway thru. Would do again.

12 oz can poured, with thanks to Eugene for the can. After having to call out sick from beer enjoyment the last week, this is quite the refreshing introduction back. Juicy and quite tasty. Cloudy yellow orange pour with a fading rocky foam head. Description nails it, a dash of salt, a touch of tart, as far as both flavor and aroma are concerned. Refreshing and tart. Orange and peach front, with a lingering watermelon like tart finish. Very nice gose here. I could drink this by the drum full.

Not my favorite style but true to the style. Not just lemonade, some body certainly refreshing, cloudy lemon color with a modest head.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy bubbly head, very cloudy, extremely pale yellow color, aroma of pineapple, sea water, yoghurt and very light herbs, flavor of peach, apricot, pineapple, shrubs and a salty hint, medium empathic sourness. Really good and highly enjoyable.
