ganache (6065) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 22, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2017 Personal rating #5959. Can from State Line. Nose of pale malt and wheat, touch of caramel and fainter earth; pour cloudy golden with a too-large off-white head. Taste strongest of wheat with medium-strong orange peel and perfume; some alcohol shown, full body is smooth more than it is crisp, weak caramel and a bit airy. There’s a little budding complexity from the hops (thankfully not a citrus bomb) but this loses my attention pretty quickly. [2017.08.22: 2.8]

I enjoyed this beer and hope that it was named after number 33. It surprised me when I tried it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Super crazy looking deep hazy golden and raw honey coloured body with two parts to the beer - a suspension from the top, about six centimetres down that looks like a tornado and is very hazy and the bottom, more crystal (still hazy) golden colour that has no clouds in it, all with a rather large, six centimetre tall soapy white head. Interesting looking and crazy at the same time. Aroma of crisp tropical fruits along with some yeast, wheat, pine and a rather large dose of herbal hoppiness. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy, tropical fruit and perfumey hop flavour with no real pungent bitterness, but a nice herbaceous finish and subdued wheat and yeast backbone that doesn’t show biscuits or earth at all, just a relatively easy-to-drink wheatiness. Aftertaste shows more of the hops than anything else, but some light malts and a smooth citrus flavour couple the herbal and grassy hops at the end. Overall, a nice, very easy-drinking IPA, especially for the ABV, this one goes down easily, has a good profile throughout and the crazy tornado haziness up top in the look make this worth trying to find, especially if you are/were an Orioles fan! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 25-May-2017 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington on 11-August-2017.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a fairly clear golden amber with a medium sized white head. Soft citrus on the nose, a bit of fruit. Medium bodied, a bit of fruit, soft melon, a touch of citrus. Slow gentle bitterness to balance into a finish that has lingering gooseberry and melon with a hint of citrus.

Pours clear goldeb with a creamy medium white head. Aroma has fresh grass and citrusy notes. Flavor follows suit...very fresh and bright hoppiness...rindy/herbal bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry rindy/herbal bitter finish that lingers to resinous. Baseball sucks anymore...but I did like Eddie Murray as a kid. Nice beer.

355ml can. Gold pour. Aroma is waxy cinnamon, smells like a certain perfume that i cant remember what. Maybe tea tree? Spruce? Flavor is a Christmas store. Orange and spruce.

Post tasting thoughts:

This was unique, very sprucey and perfumey.

Backlog rating from 2015 at the brewery.
Fresh hop nose.
Hazy golden, offwhite cream.
Somewhat muddled fermented fruit and citric hop amalgam , sulphur and rubber off flavor. A shame after a promising start.

Skinny white head that settles quickly, minimal spotty lacing. Hazy yellow, gold color. Spicy nose, light citrus, flowery, hint of grape. Body is medium with a soft carbo, tangy on the palate. Dry pale malts, rye spiciness and nice orange flavors, more spicy hop and floral flavors as well. Crisp and clean, dry finish with a spritely bite. Thanks to guzzler67 for the 12oz can! Quaffable.

On cask at the brewery dry hopped with Sorachi Ace hops. Cloudy, orange appearance with a thick head that left nice lacing. Aroma of lemon meeting up with spicier hops. The wheat flavors contribute a nice contrast to the herbal, spicy hops. Aftertaste adds an extra dimension to the hop profile. Medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel, moderate carbonation and a lingering finish.

kramer (6908) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2017
Can. Pours a clear light gold body with a frothy one inch white head that left some sticky lacing. The nose is a great mix of floral and fruity hops over a gentle pale malt base that lets the hops shine. The flavor is quite interesting, lightly bitter with a nice tangerine like fruitiness that lingers for a really long time. The malt base is really dry and clean and light. The hop mix in this is really great. Light bodied and very crushable with soft carbonation. Hard to believe that this is 7%. Really good beer.
