3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle in Sarajevo. Nearly black except the slight hint of copper on bottom. Lacing is scattered. Aroma is pretty rich with molasses and sweet pumpernickel. Nice body is neither too thin or big, making it super drinkable. Solid malt character is balanced by a dry moreish finish and a little bread crust. Very good.

0,33l can, pours dark ruby brown with a finger of quickly dissipating beige head. Sweet caramel and malt on nose. Roasty notes and some coffee too. Taste is mainly malty, light roastiness, sweet caramel. Finish is medium rounded bitterness with some solid roasty notes.

Thank you Mathieu87 & PriorL! 330 ml. can sampled @ “Epic beer Tasting 2016”. Dark brown amber,… Nose is hugely metallic, very poor industrial dark lager, industrial caramel & vegetable. Taste is huvely vegetable, massively vegetable industrial dark lager, chemical, grainy,… Very thin & grain, hugely vegetable. Right about the worst you can get in an industrial macro dark lager. I massively disliked this one.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Medium cream-beige head over dark redbrown beer. Roasted, sweetish, liquorice, sweet wood. Dry-woody, again liquorice, finish is wry, even astringent. Light, quite slick. Doable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2016 Pours dark brown from the can. The tan crown is creamy and stable. Aroma is chocolate and toffee with strong roasted notes. Taste is sour sweet with notes of roasted coffee, caramel and toast. Finishes smooth. Palate trends watery. Still, a surprisingly good find at the Mercator in Bovec, Slovenia.

330 ml butelka, kupiony w Zadarze, Chorwacja. Jestem mile zaskoczony pozytywnie.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Generally a very solid dark lager. Dark brown with semi lasting medium beige to brownish head. Some light aroma of roasted barley, not very heavy on the nose. More roastiness in the taste, but also caramel sweetness, perhaps very light cofee notes, not easily distinguishable. Body is medium to full, bitterness is light to medium. The strange thing about this beer is that it variated significantly when I had it several times at the brewpub. A couple times it was very good indeed, easily drinkable and very enjoyable, but at other times it was much less good, once bad enough I couldn’t finish the mug. I cannot efficiently explain this, but I don’t find this variation in the bottled version, which is at least under Spar Premium brand name the best price/performance ratio dark beer over here.
