A dark clear brown porter with a super thick moka head. A light chocolate with off notes of olive. In mouth, a rather simple porter with light coffee notes, short in mouth, signs of infection. Served on draft at the Indianapolis tasting room. Pours a dark chestnut color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet malts and roasted malts with a hoppy finish. Similar taste but this time with nutty notes in the finish as well. Medium bodied. Nice beer. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - APR 5, 2004
(Bottle) Pours a very dark brown (almost black) color with a thin tan head. Has an aroma of chocolate, malt, and coffee. Flavors of coffee, malt and a little bitter for my liking. Dogbrick (12936) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 24, 2007
This beer is a mostly clear dark brown color with a medium thin and creamy beige head that diminishes steadily. Spotty lacing. Aroma of earthy malt and touches of chocolate and nuts. Medium, clean body with malt, nut and pine flavors. The finish is short and nutty with a burnt malt aftertaste. All in all this is a pretty standard Porter.
