Dogbrick (13763) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 4, 2017
Sample at Beer Meets Wood on 09/23/2017. Cloudy reddish-mahogany color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patches of lacing. Aroma of bourbon, roasted malt and fruit. Medium to full body with flavors of bourbon, caramel malt and slight fruity hops. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draft sample. The beer is a dark brown with a beige head of foam. Sweet and nutty notes. Big bready and earthy notes. Big body and medium carbonation.

12 oz. bottle that I think I got at The Party Source. 2014 vintage, I think. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head that settles into a ring and an island of film. Notes of oak, toffee, brown sugar, candied nuts, earth, leaves, toast, vanilla, raisins, and dates. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, earthy, just barely boozy mouthfeel. Has held up pretty well even though I forgot about it for too long.

Sample at EBF Saturday Mostly clear deep golden color. Big sweet caramel and brown sugary maltiness with plenty of alcohol and bourbon vanilla character. Nice sipper

3.5
JPDIPSO (6286) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 28, 2016
Looks to be a slightly hazed brown colored elixir with a thin coating of beige bubbles above. Full malty aromas with dark caramel to toffee scents. Flavors of mild toasted malt, oak and bourbon. Sweet finish and linger and perhaps a touch of vanilla. Decent, but doesn’t knock my socks off. 2/15

3.9

Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #52. Keg at Whole Foods Wauwatosa 3/10/16. Brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of bourbon, toffee, wood. The taste is toffee, caramel, bourbon, wood, vanilla. Medium bodied, low carbonation, faint booze.
