COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp golden ale is built on the foundation of delicate light malts. This allows us to showcase some of the most interesting and effervescent American hops in a way we have never before done. We saved over 75% of the hops used in this recipe to add after the batch was boiled, allowing the distinct fragrance of grapefruit, apricot and pine to be preserved as much as possible in the finished beer. With a crisp, but subtle bitterness, a refreshingly light malt character, and a 4.5 ABV, this is the perfect warm weather beverage for those who think flavor is just as important as refreshment.

Draft. Poured a cloudy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop and soft malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a friend as a session beer.

Sample at Pint House during a tap takeover. Cloudy dark golden color with a medium foamy white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of floral hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, toasted malt and citrus. The finish is mildly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

355ml bottle. For once I could appreciate an upland ipa. This one works as a sessioner.

On tap at Brickside. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a light grass note with a bit of bread and a grain backbone. Flavor has lots of bread and grain with a grass backbone.

Bottle. Orange malt and peel aroma. Medium yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet orange malt and bitter orange peel flavor. Nice sessionable beer.

phaleslu (10099) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2014
Draft at Ei8ht Ball, served in a sampler. Pours a clear pale golden color with a small white head that leaves streaks of lace in the glass. Nice, clean aroma - grass, herbs, lemon, pale malts, straw, florals. The flavor matches the aroma, but doesn’t quite possess the same pop. Spice on the finish. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a crisp, clean, dry mouthfeel. Good session IPA.
