The Upland Dragonfly IPA is a malty and hoppy brew. Note the clean malty fullness on the front of the palate with fruity citrus overtones, attributable to our special hops. Dry hopping creates a floral aroma, and our use of bittering hops lends a strong bitter taste in the back of the tongue and throat.

At pivni in York. Full bodied, hoppy, citrusy, fruity. A really decent ipa..........

I’m traveling in Indiana, and enjoying local beers. This one is from a bottle, hazy orange yellow pour with a small head. Aroma is citrus and fruit, with some caramel in there, too. Taste is the same. Not much sweetness, rather dry. Slick mouthfeel, as it should be. Gentle carbonation.

Amber pour with a tan head. Aroma is fruity hops. Taste is light sweet malt, fruity hops. So-so lacing.

Best by April 2015.
Glass: New Belgium globe glass.
Appearance: Hazy amber body with a short foamy head that quickly dissipates to a soft coating.
Aroma: Bready caramel malts with light perfume hop aromas with citrus also noted. Mild and inoffensive.
Taste: Taste follows the aroma, malt forward with bready and caramel malts. Mild floral hop bitterness with grapefruit and oranges noted.
Palate: Medium bodied, mildly carbonated.
Overall: A pretty basic IPA. Sits entry level really, but for the price I can’t really complain.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, orangey-gold smallish head. Nose is candied citrus peel, caramel, grass. Mouth is medium bittersweet, big syrupy backbone accented by unremarkable hops, an equally boring finish (c’mon.... this is so 4 years ago). Average is a generous adjective for this one.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of grass, floral, and herbal notes, hints of some slight orange, touch of biscuit, bread.  Taste is a mix of grass, bread, slight orange peel, some caramel, finishing slightly bitter.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, don’t usually buy beer without the alcohol content printed on the label but took a chance and was not disappointed. Nice pine and hop taste, goes down smooth, and packs a little punch. Will try more upland products when I see them.

Words and stuff and words and stuff and words and stuff and words and stuff and words and stuff and words and stuff

jefcon (1858) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - OCT 9, 2014
Slightly sweet IPA, with lemon, verbena, pale malts and a short but punchy finish.

Draft - Caramel and grapefruit. Clear copper with a nice white head. Caramel and light pine hops. Light on hold, more malt forward. Still decent.
