COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
(Previously labeled Kiwi Lambic). There aren’t many kiwis growing in Indiana and they aren’t typically added to beer, but when we started making sour ales, our forward-thinking brewers wanted to do something different. They hand peel the fruit and add it whole to the base sour ale that had been fermenting for more than eight months in white oak barrels. The result is a fruited ale that is hazy and golden/straw in appearance upon pouring, with zesty amounts of carbonation. Fresh kiwi and tropical aromas combine with floral and wine-like notes, with rich kiwi flavors following in the taste, accompanied by refreshing tartness and a dry and tangy finish.

Fantastic. Dec 2010 bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head and nice carbonation. Very tart, with huge lemon, kiwi, and lime...huge citrus in this regard. A nice finish of hay and funk. Very good. Upland makes some amazing stuff.

Bottle. Cloudy orange, offwhite ring. Lactic notes, bubblegum, candy, light vinegar. Medium light sparkly body. Soda, lime, kiwi notes, vinegar and citric acid. Very sour, probably good to marinate meat in.

Golden with little white head. Aroma is fizzy tablet and gooseberries, vinegar, some flour and lemon juice. Taste is incredibly sour (even for a sour) vinegar on steroids, maybe a slight kiwi note, but it is all overhauled by the vinegar to be honest. It is so sour and acidic, that I can’t really get it down. Might be a good beer but definitely too sour and undrinkable for me.

Fruchtig säuerlicher Antrunk, sehr rund. Die Kiwi ist erkennbar auch wenn man sie ohne Ahnung kann herausschmeckt. Angenehme Essignoten, intensiv, spritzig. Langer Nachhall. Aggressiv zum Ende. 11/12/12/13/12/13
