Lovely milk stout had at Sugar Maple in Milwaukee. nice dark pour, if i remember correctly this might of been on the creamer. dark brown pour, nice beige head. nose is sweet and lacto with a great dark roast nose. flavor is sweet but not too sweet, lacto is there but well integrated. good milk stout ganache (6057) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 17, 2011
Draught in Bloomington, under the name of Mother’s Milk Stout, but there’s no doubt about it, it’s definitely the UpCup winner put into production). Black/brown pour with a rocky, jiggly tan head. Nose has some roast but not much else. Dash of sweet lactose/sugar but not overdone at all, mashes well with the medium and dry roast. Low, crisp carbonation on the medium body, low acidity but it doesn’t have the very creamy smoothness of some milk stouts (like Left Hand’s, though it’s been a few years). Easy to drink in mass, enjoyed. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Served on draft at the Indianapolis tasting room. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of rich roasted malts and coffee. The taste is roasted malts, lactose and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer.
