Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle, 11/20/2013, corked and capped, from shrubber85, poured into a tulip. Translucent deep red with small pink head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is sour raspberry, medium body, medium/light carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is sour raspberry, oak, and rich raspberry. A shade not quite as sour as the persimmon, but very good. ineedbeer (2331) - Oakland, California, USA - DEC 1, 2014
Batch 3/10 bottled 11/20/2013.
Aroma is rather fruity with quite a bit of jammy raspberry aroma. moderate acidity. Light oak notes and tropical fruit hiding in the background with medium light citrus. A touch acetic.
Pours a slightly cloudy, bright, vibrant, red with a bit of a purple hue. Small pink head recedes quickly to the edges. Faint lacing and no legs.
Flavor is exceedingly acidic; I should have saved some of the Tartuffe to cut this with. Moderate raspberry upfront with hints of oak and tropical fruit. As your palate adjusts the acidity becomes a bit more tolerable and you can pick up citrus fruit and more raspberry. Low bitterness, also a bit acetic.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Medium low acidic astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, this beer is way too sour. The acidity is really dialed up and somewhat chemically and acetic. Would make a nice raspberry vinagrette. BoBoChamp (5754) - Gent, BELGIUM - NOV 3, 2014
75cl, Batch 3.10 (bottled Dec. 20th 2013), no mention of ABV, exclusive American brew, with raspberries, thx alot to Vincent for bringing this over!, complex sour fruit brew, heavily sour/fruity and slightly woody/sweet, yet not balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, nice brew, yet very expensive! gEUS (1637) - Linden, BELGIUM - OCT 25, 2014
Side by side tasting of the Upland Sour Reserve, Raspberry, Strawberry, Blueberry and Kiwi Lambic.
Sour Reserve Blend 5: soft sour body, buttery, a tad floral as well 4.1/5
Kiwi: no real kiwi characteristics, extremely sour and lactic 2.9/5
Raspberry: one of the freshest raspberry aromas around. Afterwards all is sour and lactic 3.4/5
Strawberry: aroma is q bit chemical strawberry, the body and taste makes one remind of the Hanssens Oudbeitje, let it be a lot more sour 3.2/5
Blueberry: the nicest and tartest of the "Lambic" series we sampled 3.5/5
These beers are not lambics and should not be called as such. It is obvious that the sour character in this beer comes from lactic fermentation rather than a complex process of different families of bacteria and yeast. The aftertaste of all of the sampled "lambic" serie have a repelling sour finish... kraddel (9437) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 23, 2014
Bottle thnx to geoffrey .
Pours rather dark pink .
Small , fast fading-to-nothing white head .
Smell is pure raspberry , sour , with a herbal aspect .
High carbo . Taste is very sour , raspberrys-to-the-maximum , bit sweetness even . Feels very natural fruity . Very sharp sour ending . Just like all other Uplands in the tasting ( 5 bottles ) this was very extreme, and probably not balanced at all - if you compare with the ’real’ lambics , yet I do love this one .
Nice , but very simple ( sour bacteria added rather than a complex mixture of different Brettanomyces - species ) .

Bottle. Pours a hazy deep raspberry color, no head. Aroma is seedy raspberry, lemon juice, sour apricot. Taste is super acetic raspberry, sour cherry, wine grape, lemon juice. Out of control puckery. Just okay. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - SEP 1, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2015 Bottle: Thanks, Chris. Lovely fuchsia, indigo, red-ish body, fully opaque with a light lavender head that fizzles instantly into thin air. Aroma of tart & sharp raspberry skin, lemon, a hint of cinnamon-y spice, yogurty lactic sourness, & tons of mixed berry flesh all around the edges. The taste is sour... Quite sour. Even more sour than the aroma would suggest. Puckering raspberry, balsamic vinegar, lemon Warhead candies, acetic lacto yeast, & just a touch of some vaguely woodsy musk in the finish; perhaps a little oaky. Dry fruit skin aftertaste, lingering raspberry & lemon. I’m a sucker for super sour shit & this really hit the spot. Salmoniform (1281) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - AUG 23, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Hazy red hue with fizzy white head. Aroma is lactic, oak. Peppercorn, straw. Mouthfeel is fantastic with a medium body and zesty carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with a great sourness and finishing spicy. Overall this is great! JohnnyJ (5573) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 10, 2014
Bottle. Semi hazy red pour, with a thin pinkish head. Huge fresh seedy raspberry, very sour, and a healthy dose of funk. Nice and dry. Very intense beer, feels like it’s removing enamel from my teeth. Homer321 (5255) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2014
