COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
(Previously labeled Raspberry Lambic). Raspberries have a sweet tartness to them already, so they make a perfect pairing with sour ales. Our Raspberry fruited ale has a fresh berry aroma with a touch of floral and wine-like notes, followed by a rich raspberry flavor. Reddish in hue with a pink foam appear upon pouring, with zesty amounts of carbonation. Finish is dry, with mouth-watering tanginess and raspberry flavor. (Old description). In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber’s Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole raspberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

Bottle share thanks to DrewFace. Pours a deep dark ruby red, no head. Aroma is strong raspberry, lots of sour. Taste is strong acid, sour as balls, there is raspberry in there, but sour your face off.

Taster from a bottle at Upland Sourfest. Totally hazy red / pink color. Awesome color. Thin ring of off-white head. Awesome big sour taste. Light spicy sour raspberry twang in the finish. Big awesome raspberry sour taste, very cool. Awesome razz-sour. Bigger body. Kind of slick. So sour, it makes me sweat. So fruity too, though. Fascinating stuff.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Upland, 5/16/14, Bottled 10/9/13

Aroma: The nose is full of raspberry and yeasty funk
Appearance: It pours a dark red color with a fizzy, quickly dissipating beige head
Flavor: The flavor is rather tart and funky, quite sour, with only a minimal sweetnes
Palate: The body is medium, it has a fizzy carbonation, and a dry, mouth puckering finish
Overall Impression: This is a really nice raspberry lambic. It doesn’t get even close to being sweet, just a really enjoyable, well-made lambic. Nicely done here.

At jacob’s with group. Pour is cherry red no head. Aroma is complex sour notes, raspberry, watermelon, very nice. Taste is cherry coolade, sour raspberry, big jammy notes. This is a fantastic sour, but it’s a little acidic and is making me sweat.
