Smell and taste is really deep raspberry. Sometimes Upland can taste like vinegar, but not this bottle. Liked it better than raspberry Cantillons if that tells you anything. Light to medium body, light sharp carbonation, and mild fizzy foam. 77ships (11609) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 2, 2015
Thanks! 750 ml. split / sampled @’t Schooltje. 10.9.13 Vintage. Deep dark raspberry, vibrant, no head. Nose is insane raspberry, puckering, strongly lactic, lemon sourness quality to the fruit but very vibrant, real fruit, all the same, touch mineral,… Taste is same amazing, vibrant lactic, touch vinegar, lemon puckering raspberry, very tart & puckering but the fruit is immense, lingering sourness with some raspberry pits in the back,… Body is puckering ,drinks amazingly well despite the sourness. Really awesome. kosko20 (352) - Bemidji, Minnesota, USA - OCT 26, 2008
Thanks to Bobby91w for a sample. This was incredibly impressive. Pour is bubbly light brown red with a small white head. Aroma is raspberry, funky and wild yeast. Flavor is tart raspberry, barnyard funk, brett, wild yeast. Has a clean, crisp aftertaste that makes u want more. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 11, 2010
a few samples at SAVOR on 6/5/10. pours a ruby color with hints of pink and a small white head. very tart nose - lots of lacto, saccharomyces and brett. big sour rounded body with notes of raspberry. some citrus tartness towards the back... big tart finish. excellent sour fruit beer - one of my favorites from SAVOR 2010.
