Got this from Kentucky as a four pack. Great balance of thick chewy molasses/licorice with a fair balance of bitterness but not too much. 10% alcohol is there but not offensive. Very little head during the pour, leaving just a trace around the rim afterward. Not getting the cocoa nibs and chocolate as much, mostly molasses/licorice flavor. Mouthfeel is what you'd expect, velvety smooth and somewhat thick. This one is a keeper for me. Wish I could get it in Michigan. balloonbuffoon (845) - - JAN 11, 2018
12floz bottle, BOD: 09.2017, 10% ABV, $3.25 single, large stem glass. There was some head development on the pour, but it vanishes, leaving just the near black body. The nose has a smoky licorice thing going for it, which I do not find appealing. Tastes like molasses, licorice, light coffee, and smoked wood - in that order of intensity. Texture reflects the heavy dosing of malts - full and roasty, but surprisingly there is little hotness (although the alcohol is definitely there). I will not have this beer again. Near black pour with thin tan head. Aroma is roast malt and molasses. Taste adds burnt dark chocolate. A little over balanced to the bitter. Good beer. Chachy (23) - - OCT 28, 2017
Nice drinkable imperial stout, with a good hoppy, malt, and chocolate flavor

Nice RIS. Aroma's very rich, roasty, coffee, malty, bit of molasses. Flavor's like nose, very smooth, balanced, yet strong. Excellent body, some booze in the finish but that's okay. Great stuff.

Nitro version on tap at tap room. Nice complex aromas up front, Smokey, coffee, roasted marshmallow. Ebony color with nice dark tan head. Sweet up front, molasses, coffee, dark chocolate, nice blend. Nitro is a nice touch. Nice boozy warming touch on the finish. DSG (15589) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 22, 2017
[2/3/17] Draught/Bottle at Extreme Beer Fest in Boston. Black. Cocoa, roast, bittersweet, bitter finish, vegetal note, a bit of ash. thepatrickman (1503) - Lewes, East Sussex, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2017
EBF 2017. Imperial stout with all of the notes you’d expect -- big flavor, big hop bite, and big, warming alcohol. The cocoa nibs set it apart, though, adding a very strong chocolate flavor. Sweeter and more complex than most imperial stouts I’ve had. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 6, 2017
draft that poured a dark brown with off white head. just basically your typical stout. nothing really jumped out on this one. plenty of roasted malts, hints of chocolate. there was a mild bitterness either from the chocolate or the hops or both. overall it was just a decent stout. nothing wrong with it and it is very drinkable. Pour from a 12oz bottle picked up in WI this weekend. Dark black pour, though not overly thick. Nice chocolate and hoppy nose with some roasted malt. Nice flavor, dry, bitter chocolate with a nice hop character. Cool beer.
