Black with no head. Aroma is malty sweet with cocoa hints. A bit thin but decent roasty chocolate. Advocate_Ames (625) - Steubenville, Ohio, USA - APR 17, 2015
Pours dark with a defined foam head that dissipates. Tastes of sugary dark roasted malts and chocolate. There is a pleasant bitterness to this brew. The finish is flavorful and the body was rather good, not too thick. The alcohol is hidden nicely but present with a good warming feel. The aroma has a mild intensity of roasted malts, some chocolate, and earthy scents. Overall a good drink and worth trying for the stout fans out there. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - FEB 16, 2015
[Bottle] Black pour with an inch of medium brown head. Nose is of chocolate, charred malts, coffee grounds and mild earthy hops. Notes of espresso, bakers chocolate, chalky roasted malts, toffee, Nutella and brown sugar. The alcohol is well disguised. Medium bodied. Tasting notes from Big Blue Craft Beer Festival in Sheboygan on 10/18/14. Vinylholic (22) - Uniontown, Ohio, USA - JAN 24, 2015
Pours a deep brown color with a dark tan head. Aroma of solid chocolate and coffee with a very faint hint of sweetness. Taste is initially sweet with a bitter finish. Full body goes down smoothly. An excellent beer, good for winter evenings.
