Pours a black with small head and small lacing. Aroma of dark bitter chocolate roasted malt hint of vanilla and caramel. Boozy. Moderate hope bitterness. Full bodied chewy and a bit oily. Medium bitter finish with vodka like boozy tones. Wanted to like this better . May be good with age. CpyNPrnT (637) - Indiana, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Aroma of chocolate, taste is hoppy, chocolate, slightly bitter, smooth finish. Fairlanes4ever (2) - - NOV 21, 2014 does not count
Outstanding. Fairly low carbonation chocolate carmel up front. High ABV is subdued by great grain bill. Block (3222) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - NOV 20, 2014
Black pour, almost zero head. Aroma is sweet, chocolate, caramel. The body is medium with a smooth mouthfeel. More chocolate, a little roasted malts. Overall it’s really good and the 10.2% alcohol is very well hidden. snoot8726 (110) - Terre Haute, Indiana, USA - NOV 20, 2014
2014 12oz bottle. Black pour with a tan head. Big dark chocolate on the nose with some hops and roastiness. Taste is big on the dark chocolate with licorice, dark fruit, oats, molasses as well. Great beer!

2014’s 12 oz. bottle. Pours pitch black with a thin mocha head that dwindles to a thin ring and leaves some spotty lace around the edges. Nose involves rich dark chocolate, toasted malt, licorice, fairly intense herbal hops, some cherry and plum. Quite sweet, but pretty bitter as well. Medium to full bodied, viscous, softer carb, finishing toasty, warm, and toward dry. Nice brew, pretty drinkable but still with substance. arn8897 (455) - Trenton, Ohio, USA - NOV 15, 2014
Pours a dark brown with a dark kahki head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Thinner than most ostmeal stouts at this high an ABV. Goes doen way to easy. Almost no booze taste at all. Hops come out a little more as it warms. Very drinkable. Will definetly try again. Growler fill at Middletown Fine Wine and Spirits. Krej (224) - USA - OCT 5, 2014
This is a very good stout. Smells very chocolatey. It’s black as shit and has a nice thick bit small foam ring around it. The beer looks a little like Jupiter from the top. Nice and creamy mouthfeel thats a little thin, but still has some body to it. Tastes great!. malkyore (377) - - OCT 5, 2014
Stouts have character! This stout is no exception. Sweet enough to be balanced, with a complex chocolate coffee flavor. For 10% its way too drinkable. You could pound one of these, its that kind of good... Chudwick (3423) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - JUL 13, 2014
Bomber (marked October 2013) into La Petite Tulipe - nose is roast and chocolate. Sip intensifies the roast character at the expense of the chocolate.
