UPDATED: APR 25, 2007 Bottle. Clove and over-ripe banana aroma. Tannish yellow color - cloudy with little head. Mildly sweet banana, clove and wheat malt flavor and a light lemon finish. A very well crafted beer that is comparable to its German brethern. MI2CA (1340) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - SEP 26, 2005
12oz - bottled March 05 - Aroma is banana, german yeast, and bread dough. Pours a cloudy gloden color with a small head and great lacing. Taste matches aroma, but not as strong. Palate is watery and absent. Easy to drink flavorful brew with no substance. barenada (211) - Georgetown, Indiana, USA - AUG 27, 2005
(draft) Very fizzy but sweet. A mild banana aroma and flavor. Mouthfeel was fizzy wheat. There was a slight tartness to the finish. I liked this, but I’ve had better dunkels. hershiser2 (3230) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 16, 2005
Let me start off by saying that I sampled several beers from this brewer over the past weekend... and all of them taste the same (in a way). There’s an underlying burnt-rice flavor to all of their beers that I just can’t get past. Bottle. Amber in color with a small head... flavor of burnt rice, slight clove, slight banana. Kinda plain and boring. TheDean (786) - MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 22, 2005
Sweet auroma, and a nice pour. Taste resembles the auroma. Interesting beer that taste dead.

Cloudy amber body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, clove, banana. Taste is medium sweet, clove, banana, some lemon. Light-medium body, some effervescence, very refreshing. Skip (206) - Indiana, USA - JUL 16, 2004
I had a hard time finding any aroma until I stuck my nose inside the bottle. A bit disappointing in this area. tart at first taste with less than expected head retention. smoosh (536) - New Albany, Indiana, USA - JUL 9, 2004
Bottle - a dirty gold color. Very grainy aroma with some spice. As "wheaty" a wheat as I’ve tasted. Is that a word? Pretty fizzy despite limited head retention. Pretty good. igneous1 (1535) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - JUL 5, 2004
cloudy, dark caramel color. darker than most hefes, head is mostly not lasting. clove and yeast immediately jump out in the aroma, lots of clove in the flavor, bubblegum and banana are minimal. jsquire (4489) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - MAY 17, 2004
Dishwater cloudy out of the bottle with a white head. There was an odd sourness in here. Hints of spice and more traditional german wheat flavors, but still I can’t get past the funky sourness. Not much going on. I’ll have to try another bottle.
