Draft on tap at Brickhouse Tmadison, W-). Pours a deeper copper hue, decent haziness and frothy offwhite head atop laces nicely. Aromas are a bit toasty, carmelized, and earthy with mellow floral and grassy hops. A touch of sweetnessn toast and rye. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, a touch of soapy, decent floral hops. Earth, biscuit, mellow rye is cleaner as we taper out. Some gentle fruit, rustic rye and a bit of toast. Faint earth and some gentle citrusy spritz. Backend is dry but a bit deadened. A bit of toast, earth and caramel. A soapy earthy hop profile supports well enough with a jab of grapefruit pith. Finish is bitter, a bit dry and toasty. Solid. deyholla (12582) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 7, 2015
On tap at Brickhouse. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has musty grains and musty grass with a decent amount of biscuit. Flavor has grass and a hint of pine but is mainly rye and biscuit. geeklimit (294) - USA - JUN 4, 2015
Crystal clear with spicy rye aroma. Creamy mouthfeel and a strong hops flavor balances the rye heat. Pleasant and slightly sticky mouthfeel. Steveo1983 (2) - Indiana, USA - MAY 9, 2015 does not count
Very easy drinking pale ale. I don't have the palate to really differentiate the different flavors. It's a good introduction to the hoppier beers.

On tap at Upland. A cloudy, dark orange pour. I like the spicy background the rye brings. A medium carbonation adds to the hoppy bite.

Draft in a taster - sip announces butter, citrus and caramel. Better taste than flavor. Just short of greatness. Dogbrick (14287) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Sample at the brewpub. Clear amber-orange color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of earthy hops, citrus and rye malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall. phaleslu (10889) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Draft at The Brass Tap. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head that leaves some spots of lace. Notes of light citrus fruits, leaves and florals, straw, rye, honey, and biscuity, pale and sweet malts. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, earthy mouthfeel. Drinks simpler than the description. Easy.
