750ml bottle (62 of 119) into a Ranger Creek tulip. Thanks to oregonhopmonster for the trade! So this is the direction American sours are heading in, and I, for one, could not be more ecstatic. Blend Love pours with a hazy, raspberry iced-tea tone (ironic, isnt it?). A little dark and listless is the body, but the fluffy tangerine-tinted head is attractive in the glass. Big wafts of raspberry pulp in the nose alongside berry vines and melon rind. Fresh wood sharpness is mild but pleasant as a balance in the background. Flavor brings forward an immediate raspberry sourness that puckers the sides of the mouth and tongue. The finish is fruity and bright with notes of mineral, wood barrel, and a hint of funk. Uber-crisp mouthfeel with a dry finish thats not sour enough to wreck the tongue, but still packs pucker-aplenty for all you sour-heads. Moderate carbonation. Overall, a fantastic release from Upright. Wish I could get my hands on more of this one!

Bottle thanks to Douglas! Pours hazy light copper, small bubbly off white head, some lacing. Aroma is dusty, fruit, cherry, stems, oak. Flavor is light tart, pleasant and not at all acetic, light clean dusty funk, oak tannins, cherry. Light plus body, low carbonation. This is a nice, clean restrained balanced sour. Fruit is an accent rather than center stage. Not overly tart, or overly anything for that matter. Kudos.

Poured a ruby red color with a white head. Aroma was of pitted cherries, raspberry skins, vinegar, lemon, and acetic acid. Flavor was big tart fruit upfront, light yogurt funk, follow by an acetic burn that I dont really appreciate l.

Bottle sitting in my cellar, from, I think 2012. Was surprised to see I hadnt rated this one, so here goes. A: Overcast red with a thin off-white head thats got a pretty good lifespan. Light lacing. N: Raspberries and cherries are still here in force. Lemon and ruby grapefruit backing up the main fruits. Oak, vinegar, some red wine grape and leather. T: Bracingly sour; sweetness backing it up, however distantly. M: Light body, prickly carbonation, no alcohol. O: This has aged a lot better than I expected it to. Fruit is still making itself known, and I am quite enjoying it. Though, it is definitely getting more and more sour without the bugs to develop further complexities.

Bottle at home. Pours dark orange with a tiny white head. Nice fruity aromas and loads of vinious oak as well. Nice raspberry touch to it as well. Light body, quite some sourness but balanced with some residual sweetness. Taste is bland and very much like soft yoghurt (lacto a bit overpoweirng the fruitiness).

750ml bottle in a teku. Pours hazy ruby/amber with an off-white head. Aroma of sourness / tartness, some raspberries, cherries, some pale malts, and light oak. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A very solid beer.
