Sort of underwhelming, considering how good Four Play is, the raspberry and cherry don’t really provide much more than a light and hard to distinguish sweetness, not very complex, still tasty but basically a Bruery beer.
750ml bottle pours out a copper amber color topped with a small fizzy head. Nose is raspberry cherries sour barrel tartness. Taste is more of the nice fruit raspberry cherries tartness sour and light barrel. bytemesis (8585) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - OCT 22, 2016
Bottle thanks to Douglas! Pours hazy light copper, small bubbly off white head, some lacing. Aroma is dusty, fruit, cherry, stems, oak. Flavor is light tart, pleasant and not at all acetic, light clean dusty funk, oak tannins, cherry. Light plus body, low carbonation. This is a nice, clean restrained balanced sour. Fruit is an accent rather than center stage. Not overly tart, or overly anything for that matter. Kudos. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUL 8, 2016

Poured a ruby red color with a white head. Aroma was of pitted cherries, raspberry skins, vinegar, lemon, and acetic acid. Flavor was big tart fruit upfront, light yogurt funk, follow by an acetic burn that I don’t really appreciate l. Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 5, 2015
Bottle sitting in my cellar, from, I think 2012. Was surprised to see I hadn’t rated this one, so here goes.
A: Overcast red with a thin off-white head that’s got a pretty good lifespan. Light lacing.
N: Raspberries and cherries are still here in force. Lemon and ruby grapefruit backing up the main fruits. Oak, vinegar, some red wine grape and leather.
T: Bracingly sour; sweetness backing it up, however distantly.
M: Light body, prickly carbonation, no alcohol.
O: This has aged a lot better than I expected it to. Fruit is still making itself known, and I am quite enjoying it. Though, it is definitely getting more and more sour without the bugs to develop further complexities. gEUS (1637) - Linden, BELGIUM - APR 18, 2015
Bottle at home. Pours dark orange with a tiny white head. Nice fruity aromas and loads of vinious oak as well. Nice raspberry touch to it as well. Light body, quite some sourness but balanced with some residual sweetness. Taste is bland and very much like soft yoghurt (lacto a bit overpoweirng the fruitiness). Hazy amber red pour with a slight white head. Slightly funky nose. Cherry and barrel in the taste. Lightly tart. Very nice. jkwood04 (5452) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 28, 2015
750ml bottle in a teku. Pours hazy ruby/amber with an off-white head. Aroma of sourness / tartness, some raspberries, cherries, some pale malts, and light oak. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A very solid beer.
