Tap at Upright, PDX, 26/05/13.
Dark mahogony brown with a good sized beige head.
Nose carries a good bourbon punch, woody notes, grain, toffee.
Taste comprises caramelised sugars, toffee fudge, biscuit, woody notes, bourbon, light booze.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, touch of booze in the finish.
Decent stuff, a big improvement on the base beer for me. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 27, 2013
Tap @ Upright... Poured dark brownish with a thin, light khaki head. This was very bourbon forward. Vibrant caramel and vanilla and pecan notes with oak and woody tones. The rye wasn’t too evident but the Six held up nice with all the complexities of the barrel aging. Even with all that bourbon flavor in this beer it didn’t seem to hot with booziness though.
