"I guess IPA is as close as you can get to Belgian India Red Ale, but this is like no IPA you’ll ever have. A healthy dose of citrus and pine but also very bready from the malt, darker, with hints of dryness and spice from the yeast. Good." mcberko (17847) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 28, 2014
On tap at Upright, pours a murky dark orangey amber with small beige head. Aroma of bready malt, Belgian yeast, and piney hops. Flavour brings out Belgian yeast, dry caramel malt, piney hops, resin and alcohol. Well-balanced, with a malty, yeast finish. Great stuff. ericdevin (988) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAR 4, 2014
Draft at 16 Tons Taphouse, Eugene. Pours a cloudy brick red, little to tan head. Aromas malty and biscuity, some resinous notes and a sort of archness courtesy of the Belgian yeast. Body lively and yeasty, finish is somewhat bitter, spicy too, but just too grainy. Not my thing. douglas88 (9192) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Interesting beer. Pours a cloudy copper color with a medium white head. A fruity nose, yeasty, some berries. The flavor is fresh fruity hops, caramel, a bit of bitterness/sour edges, some berries. A nice unusual beer. raphael (1254) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 21, 2014
Caramel, salt and wood aromas. Cloudy medium brown with strong caramel head, A tang, almost sour, in the flavor with yeast and rye. Definite flavors handled with some delicacy.

Tap at Imperial Bottle Shop and Taproom. Hard to know how to categorize this one; believe it’s an Belgian IPA but it floats over to the edge of saison. Heavy, pungent hop aromas, esters, Belgian yeast. Cloudy dark brown/amber color, creamy tan head. Sweet fruity malt / goes a bit buttery and hoppier in mid / finishes light and sweet. Medium-heavy body. Not an overbearing one. Interesting fusion style.
