Tap at Upright. More of a Biere de Garde. Pours a clear, deep brown with medium foam and wispy lacing. Nose is sweet ample, sugar, pumpkin bread, zucchini bread, rugbrod. Taste is spice medley, brown toffee, rye bread, thick malt density. Palate is bready, dense, nice overall Biere de Garde. mcberko (18084) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 12, 2013
On tap at Upright, pours an opaque dark mahogany / brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of farmhouse notes, earth and funk. Flavour brings out loads of farmhouse notes, considerable funk, and Belgian yeast. A little funky and fairly yeasty - not sour at all like the Late Harvest. Great stuff. douglas88 (9425) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 13, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Pours a murky red/brown color with a small white head. A light sour woody nose with big spices and raisins. The flavor is light sourness, wood, earthy, raisins, pepper, some fruity hops. Quite nice. Interesting. leems (406) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 21, 2010
Tap. It’s their five dry hopped with fresh cascades. Big hoppy cascade nose with floral spicy from the yeast. Flavor is an extravaganza of fresh resiny hops and spicy floral yeast. It’s really beyond explanation. I enjoyed this a lot.
