Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

On tap at upright brewery Portland. Pours out a straw color topped with a white head. Nose is banana clove sourdough bread spice citrus. Taste is more of the banana clove spice and a nice malty end. Very nice.

markextrae (4448) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUN 5, 2015
Shared bottle, poured a slight cloudy light amber colour with a white head. Crisp malts, citrus grapefruit, soap hops, grass, boring off taste, and again overpriced

kespecial (255) - - MAY 25, 2015
Draft at Beer Revolution. Pours bright cloudy yellow, small white head. Aroma is very grassy, some floral. Taste is spicy, peppercorn, coriander, citrus zest. Finish is quite dry. Refreshing, but disappointed in only very faint tartness.

Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 18, 2015
On tap at the brewery. A: Cloudy pale gold, thin drifting white head. N: Banana, clove, straw, grass, lemon rind, lavender, coriander, and a noticeable yeastiness. T: Sweet and bready, lightly tart. M: Light body, crisp carbonation, no alcohol presence. O: A good saison that I think has also gotten left behind a little bit. It’s quaffable, but straightforward; makes a better base these days.

shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 10, 2015

Had in 2013. Pours bright golden yellow with a thick puffy off white head. Grassy, floral a bit spicy and citrus notes. Lemon rind, black pepper, coriander, very fresh and fruits. A glorious body with a complex profile. Zesty citrus, perfumy, floral. Great brew with tons of estery notes.
