Tap at Upright - turbid gold beer - nose is lemony and wheaty, with light phenolic notes, honey, pear - creamy mouthfeel - light phenols up front (banana, clove, peppery), followed by tangy wheat - some crisp, flinty, mineral character - lightly acidic finish - fruity hallertauer finish - like a cross between a saison and a hefe - tasty. gramity (1668) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 24, 2012
RBAG 2012. Thanks Sid for the bottle. Hazy gold with a white head. The aroma is floral and a touch worty with some melon and citrus rind. I agree with others that smell was actually a bit dirty and funky - but in such a good way. The flavor is dry and lightly tart with light floral and spicy hops. There is also some toasty malt and tropical fruit. Light bodied and snappy, with ample carbonation. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 12, 2012
Tasted on 4/12/12 from a capped 750mL bottle brought back from Oregon to me by UncleJedi, big thanks Jim. Pours clear pale golden with an average white head that recedes rather quickly to thin lace that sticks around. The nose is light wheat malt with some lightly tart lemon pith and just a touch of spicy yeast. The flavor is super clean and tart all the way through, with just a touch of wheat malt and traditional spicy saison yeast. The body is light with lively, but not stinging, carbonation, with a medium wheaty and lightly tart finish. This is the ultimate easy-drinking sessionable beer. Murky light gold with an ample white head. Herbal, bright aromatics. Light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Lemon zest on grains and herbs. Amazing length for such a light beer. _angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 17, 2013
750 ml bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours tiny hazy golden with a huge frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of sticky soapy lacing on the glass. Smell is tiny fruity and slightly spicy with crackers, lemon zest, orange zest, lemon balm, tamarind, hay, white pepper corns, dry soil and unripe peaches. Taste is tiny bitter, tiny fruity and tiny spicy with crackers, unripe tropical fruits, citrus zest, dry soil, dry wood, black and white pepper corns, allspice, grape skins, cloves, tamarind, hay, lemon grass, lemon balm and lime juice. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, sparkling and light bodied. Finish is bitter and spicy witch crackers, black and white pepper corns, dry soil, dry wood, grape skins, citrus zest and unripe tropical fruit. Great table beer!

750mL Bottle. Thanks for sharing, Sean! This beer is for me. God’s water. Not my first Upright beer, but close, as it’s my first Upright bottle. Clean, mineral and light malt aroma. Tangy, fresh, and grassy upfront. The emergent quality of this reminds me of the best, freshest chevre, with delightful tingling clean herbal qualities. It feels like delicious, thirst slaking medicine. Very, very good table beer. Wish I could drink this every day. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 9, 2013
Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy, light amber color with a well sustained white head. Nice light florals in the nose along with some yeast and hay notes. The flavor doesn’t disappoint with a light citrus note, soft florals, hay, and dusty yeast notes. Complex and flavorful. Light body with high carbonation and a spritzy mouthfeel. One of the better saisons I’ve had lately. egajdzis (6590) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Murky golden color with a large white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toast, citrus, and grassy hops. Taste of citrus, light sweetness, bitter, grassy hops, tart wheat, and a dry finish. Prickly carbonation. airrick2003 (872) - Louisiana, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Appearance: the beer is a very hazy darker shade of gold, pours with a very tall off white head that settles into a nice density
Aroma: lemon, yeast, grass, citrus, pine, sour, flowers, smells good
Taste: sour, tart, has a bitter kick to it as well, lemon,
Palate: lively carbonation, light mouthfeel, leaves mouth dry, minimal aftertaste
Overall: my second beer from this brewery and I’m impressed again, very flavorful and aromatic while hiding the alcohol very well for a saison, highly drinkable, makes a great session beer Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Pours super bubbly beautiful deep golden with a huge bubbly white head! Aroma is soft and sweet spring like yeast not white floral or fruity but unique and pleasant. Flavors are lighter on spice and sweetness with no funk at all. The body is quite bubbly.
