HAF. Light hazy brown pour with a thin head. Aroma is pine, spice, spicey yeast, and some weird vegetableness. Flavor is spicey yeast and wheat with some of the pine. Not bad, interesting to say the least.

Peppermint nose, some mild toasty grain. Dark ruby. Sweet cherry body, softens into a pillowy apple body, great soft finish.

August maroon color with light head. Bouquet of pine forest and deep woods. Full of earth and bread crusts. Very tart and herbal bitterness. A bit underbodied for the cauldron of witches herbs it supports. Minty marsh rosemary finish.

I thought the eucalyptus was a bit strong...but other than that it seemed to be interesting but the eucalyptus was a bit much

Draught. Poured light brown with a medium white head. Herby aroma, rather like a spice tray. Flavour was a bit too herby, the malt was overshadowed by the greens. I have to give Upright kudos for trying, but this was not to my taste

On tap @ The Bier Stein. My favorite saison! Poursa cola brown with some head. Aroma is juniper, dae kon, eucalyptus and brett. Just a small bit of brett in this one, it really brings out the herbal flavors in this strange but beautiful beer.

On tap at the Upright tasting room. Dark amber with a smooth white head. Nose is fruity and earthy. The yeast esters are starkly different from their normal house strain, no pepper notes going on. The herb and wood subtleties come out as it warms, giving a dry almost musty wood note and a bit of almost minty sharpness. I enjoyed the malt forwardness of this, true bier de garde style.

This was my favorite beer at the PDX Holiday Ale Fest. It smells like a pine tree wrapped in rosemary. The body is light, almost effervescent, sparkling, and playful. A nice malty body, sweet yeast, and ends with lovely sprig of mint.

Holiday Ale Festival... Poured hazy amber with an off-white head. Earthy, piney and loads of spices. Yeasty, wheat-like and malty. Light hops and vegetable-like qualities. Fruity finish.
