Bottle. Cccoa nose, with some decided barrel notes, brown sugar, and some indeterminate spicing. Thin translucent brwn color. Light chocolate and wine-like notes in initial, mild dark fruit, and dark sugar. Thin-medium body with some astringency. Tastes quite a bit stronger than 7%. Very nice. Complex but not too wild. KyotoLefty (10689) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 29, 2014
Bottled. Nutty nose, chocolate, a bit of thinner, some spicy yeast, hazel nuts, a bit of soy. Brown-orange with lace. Lightly acidic flavor, oranges, grass, spices, cinnamon, whisky or brandy--a little, brown sugar. Ethereal, airy body. Interesting stuff. A step or two from greatness. siennaemerson (21) - New York, USA - NOV 22, 2014
careful pour yields a murky brown body with a sand colored head. strong fruit-forward esters and peppery and slightly dirty phenols in the nose; waxy notes of apple, cherry and pear; herbal / floral / perfumed throughout. medium acid with mild to moderate oak character, low bitterness, tight natural carbonation with mostly firm malt body.
