Six is a dark rye beer with layered flavors including chocolate, caramel, pepper, wood, cherry and tropical fruit. It starts semi-dry and smooth and finishes fully dry and tart with a small bite from the hops. The overall balance of the Six makes it easy to pair with richly prepared meats along with many harder cheeses.

Six is a great rendition of a rye beer and it delivers in many areas. The aroma just climbs out of the glass and the burst you get from the flavor as it hits the mouth is just as satisfying.

750 ml bottle poured into a snifter. The beer is a dark brown to black with a huge head of beige foam. The beer reminds me a lot of rootbeer. I get a lot of herbal notes and sugary, root nuances. Sweet overall with moderate spice notes coming through. Medium body and medium carbonation.
