COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Six is a dark rye beer with layered flavors including chocolate, caramel, pepper, wood, cherry and tropical fruit. It starts semi-dry and smooth and finishes fully dry and tart with a small bite from the hops. The overall balance of the Six makes it easy to pair with richly prepared meats along with many harder cheeses.
Malts: organic pale, caramel, rye, black
Unmalted: rolled rye
Hops: magnum, tettnanger

Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 6, 2012
Tap at Monk’s Kettle, SF. It pours cloudy dark brown, with a massive cream head. The nose is farmyard, orange citrus fruit, salted caramel, pine and rye bread. The taste is rye bread, farmyard, orange citrus, dark fruit (raisin, currant, cherry and plum), hay, caramel and a touch of chocolate, with a long dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. An interesting brew indeed.

Capped 750 from Malt & Vine. Pours quite dark brown with a fine, foamy, nigh creamy light tan head that lasts and lasts. Aromas of dark roasted malt and darkish fruit thru the foam. Flavor is tart chocolate cherry with some wood astringency. And I think there’s more in there, but it’s all tangled. Think I’ve untangled rye. Finishes fairly tart and rather dry. It’s a really good beer.
