Pour out of 750 mL bottle, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big peach, vanilla, apricot into a bit of wood, funk, slight musty, basement notes with a hint of oak, some slight white fruits. Bottle, thanks Sean. Cloudy amber pour with a small head that fades to a thin ring. Aroma is a mix of barnyard brett and apricot with some oranges and oak too. Taste has so much barnyard that it covers up the citrus and apricot. Very dry as well. Some white grape and oak. Good but I wish the brett was toned back a bit. Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, apricot, lemon, lemon peel, and a touch of oak. It’s a hazy dull dark orange with a small white head. The flavor starts with moderate apricot and citrus and apricot. The finish has light-moderate florals, lemon, and orange peel. It’s light bodied moderate carbonation.
Bottle: Bottle 26/149. Thanks, Sean. Completely opaque peach skin color with a foamy, soapy white head that quickly fades to a semi-chunky collar. Aroma of heavy Brett hay, funky musty, woody cotton & some peach-like, stone fruit acidity in the back-end. Flavor of mild peach, apricot, stone fruit, & a touch of lemon with a strong back drop of hay, cotton & Bretty barnyard funk. Drinkable sour ale with a strong brettanomyces presence. A - pours clear amber orange with no head. No real lacing. S - pineapple, bourbon barrel notes, funk, must and stone fruit. M - medium body, dry and sticky sweet. T - apricot and pineapple to start, bready malts and citrus zest. Some chalky talcy notes. Dried apricots dominate. O - a little too sweet for my taste. 750ml capped. Hazed orange straw, ample white head. Bright lemony apricot, straw, underlying sweetness, some lacto milkyness going on. Lemony brett, oak, white wine grape, apricot is barely present...mostly unripe in flavor, lacto tart/sweet character. Mostly lemon tart throughout, with some apricot, some milky sweetness toward the end. Really nice up front apricot with some underneath musty dusty hay and lightly herbal notes. Soft funky notes, a touch of barrel notes as well. Pours hazy orange, thin head and lace. Apricot up front and throughout, herbal notes underneath, a touch of bitterness, a touch funky and dry. Lingering tangy apricot. Nice carovonation. Lingering tangy funky. Solid stuff.
