Bottle @ Mike’s House. This beer was a mess. Hazed orange beer without much in the way of foam. Butter is the first thing I smell, and that’s never a good thing. Get some flowers, rosewater, grape, and black cherry to it as well. Seems kind of oxidized. Has a weird roast character to it. The butter is just so obvious throughout the aroma and flavor that I can’t get into this at all. The mouthfeel and carbonation are also not great. A little bit tangy on the finish. Nope. bytemesis (9502) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - NOV 9, 2016
Bottle. I think it came from Homer, and I know it was one of the first 124 bottle release, cause it says on the back that it was like 68 of 124. Pours slightly hazy orange amber, small off-white head, bubbly lacing. Aroma is buttery, stonefruit, oranges, oak, funk, vanilla, hints of coffee. Flavor is actually very lightly tart, light funk, buttery again, oak tannin, clean funkiness. Medium body. Many did not like this one, but I thought it kind of worked. corby112 (2813) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2015
Pours a very cloudy dark golden orange / chestnut brown color with apricot edges and a half finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Crazy complex aroma with musty funk, damp wood, sweet light fruits, boozy spirit and lactic cheesiness. The nose on this beer is unlike anything I’ve had before. Musty bugs, wet grass, hay and barnyard along with light fruit, cider, apple and strawberry and cream. Somewhat floral with rose petals and a touch of honey. So weird but smells excellent.
On the lighter end of medium body with a flavor profile that kind of tastes like barrel aged apple cider. Lots of sweet apple and autumnal spice flavor along with some dry toasted oak/toothpick and subtle spirit. I’m picking up some apple brandy but not much of a bourbon presence. The floral character from the nose is muted but shows up toward the finish. Lots of sweet apple and other light fruit notes with oak barrel and funky bugs. Nice dryness but not too overpowering. Complex with a great balance of unique flavors. The apple cider character is pretty strong but it’s nicely complimented by the other notes. This is a great beer that’s truly unique. Unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. hopscotch (11439) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 5, 2015
Bottle... Cloudy burnt-caramel pour with no lasting head. The bouquet is funky, woody and fruity. Full-bodied with modest carbonation. The flavor is tart, fruity, woodsy and lightly funky. Finishes with a funky tanginess and a light ration of crusty bitterness. Bottle courtesy of landhoney! Travlr (26423) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 24, 2014

Tasted on 2/8/14 from a 750mL bottle at the RBWG Grand Tasting, big thanks to GT for sharing. Pours hazy brown with an average tan head that leaves average lace. The nose is floral, fresh apple, spicy yeast, and a dry, fruity note. The flavor is the same, just like a sour saison blended with a very floral cider, plenty of apple. The body is medium with just below average carbonation and a long sweet cider and spicy/tart saison yeast finish. jackl (8555) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Sample @ RBWG Grand Tasting. Amber pour with a small head. Musty plum, fruit leather, some trail mix, raisins. Tart lemon tea. Lots going on here. Flavor’s mildly sweet. Orchard fruits and leaf pile. Slightly chalky on the palate. Dry. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice. douglas88 (9797) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 8, 2014
Interesting beer. Pours a darkish amber color with a medium white head. A fruit barrel nose, some funky tart garbage. Odd flavors collide of currants, berries, wood, lactic, funky, soft fresh fruit, sawdust. Very nice. jkwood04 (5472) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 23, 2014
Big bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma of tartness, light funk, caramel and pale malts, light fruits, and hints of spice. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A pretty good beer. alexsdad06 (11223) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - FEB 23, 2014
750 ml bottle shared at RBWG grand tasting. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor was very floral, tart acidic fruits, wood, mild funk, light apples and berries. The flavor was softer and added some herbal notes.
