Oaky nose, showing some mineral and basement, soft caramel and a bit of brown sugar. Creamy medium body with light carb. Brett is dialed pretty far back now, scattering some mineral and basement notes here and there. Toasty caramel, dark wood, and soft funk on the mid palate; light basementy finish. Pours a rich golden color with two fingers of white foam. Nose is a blend of musty oak, leather, mushroom and some slight underlying tropical fruit. Tasted on 2/8/14 from a bottle at the hotel after the RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head that leaves a very thin collar of lace. The nose is tart lemon and tangerine, plenty of brett funk, but not overwhelming. The flavor is has some lightly sweet Meyer lemon, a touch of lactic sour, and the same nicely balancing funk. Bottle I brought to a tasting - no matter what Douglas88 thinks.
A: Copper with some foamy white head.
N: Orange, grapefruit, glue, grain, brett, lemon zest. Peppers and acidity.
T: Dry acidity, sweetness, and yeastiness.
M: Very dry with a good level of carbonation. Lighter body.
O: Solid. The brett has really taken over this beer in a positive way, and it should continue to grow.

Bottle at a recent RB tasting... Poured hazy, golden-orange with a big, frothy, white head. Soft mouthfeel, well attenuated with a nice barrel and brett funk character. 750mL at SDBW kick-off. Bottle #37 of 114. Verified new entry, separate back label. Low haze, bright golden peach pour. Nose is excellent juicy kumquat, pithy mangosteen, really phenomenal juicy tropical fruit. Taste is clean, juicy kumquat, pithy mango, bitter grapefruit peel balance a la 3F/Girardin geuze. Longer white grapefruit peel balance and power through the finish. Really spectacular. Worth seeking out.
