Tasting at SF, Vancouver
Dark brown color. Very interesting aroma, malt, dark fruits. Rich malt flavor, the body is lean, there is balance of sweet and alcohol; just moderately sweet; it has a nice woody character, some astringency, vinous, gentle whiskey touch.
Very good.

Bottle - Sherry like notes, some sourness and balsamic. Cloudy brown with a small white head. Woody, light soured raisin and prune with a woody dry finish.

750ml bottle @ the office. Pours a cloudy semi dark brown colour with a thin frothy white head. Nose is delicious, clearly old ale influenced with lots of yummy barrel notes. Flavour is upfront quite sweet, lending way to a huge barrel character that dances between a light whiskey and fruity character. This is delicious and complex.

750ml bottle at Brian's office. Vintage 2016. Aroma is chocolatey, barrel, fruity. Similar taste. This one is quite complex, very smooth, and pleasant.

Medium brown, with no head. On the nose, it's quite toffeeish, with a little bit of red wine and barrel, raisins and caramelized brown sugar. Very sweet caramelized buttery brown sugar pralines. Great barrel, lending all kinds of fruitiness and sugars. But I'm also a fan of the big, rich, sweet base beer as well, and it seems well-suited for this particular barrel treatment. Liking this a lot.

750 ml bottle. Pours a murky brown red color with a medium tan head. A big musty spicy barrel nose. Toffee, whiskey, sugary vinous fruit, leather, a bit of berries. Very warm. Lovely beer.

Bottle at Portland tasting. Darkest brown, light soap ring. Musty earth, chalky fruity strawberry and leather. Very nice.

750mL bottle, pours a murky, dirty dark mahogany with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice sweet wine character from the wine, dark fruits, and a touch of whiskey. Flavour brings out port, sweet dark fruits, a little whiskey and toffee. Low carbonation -- could use some more to bring out the flavours more deeply. Very good.

Bottle. Colour...dark brown with a thin white head. Nose....dark fruits, coffee notes and hints of oak. Palate...crisp, sharp, tight and bright with sappy dates and raisins. The mid palate is tangy and fresh with fleshy fruits and boozy bits. The finish is zippy and opulent with crazy avant garde bursts that rapidly surprise the whole palette.
