Honestly cannot remember where I had this, (feel like it was a bottle?? tap at Belmont Station??), but have written down: ’Orange golden pour. Spiced citrusy nose. Nice lingering hopped finish, beer blended well. Good stuff.’ Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAR 11, 2011
Tap at Eugene Fresh Hop Festival. Orange colored pour with a wispy white head and very mild lacing. The first whiff of this beer is all pepper, fading to some floral hops and maybe a light bit of orange citrus. The flavor is a little more balanced, with the hops vying with the pepper pretty well. Not my favorite style of IPA, but a solid brew from the guys at Upright. leems (406) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 10, 2011
Tap. Dark golden pour with a big foamy white head. Aroma is spicy yeast, citrus and floral hops. Flavor is pretty typical upright from the yeast with some brighter hop characteristics floating around. Finish was short and dry. SuzyGreenberg (1604) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 17, 2010
growler; thanks brandon; easily my fav beer from the Portland Fresh Hop Fest, so was glad to revisit; pours glowing orange with huge fluffy white head; lovely nose of grapefruit, lemon, sugar and a touch of sweet farmhouse funk; smooth drinking, fresh flowers and vanilla; so light and easy drinking; fruity hops and grassy malt; great combo mattdev (74) - Oregon, USA - NOV 4, 2010
Pours an amber color with a thick, forthy white head. Smells of pepper and funk, with sharp citrusy fruits. A bit floral. Tastes huge of fresh northwest hops. Bitter, but beautifully balanced. Upright’s typical spicy yeast really shines through. Finishes crisp with a light lingering bitterness.
