Going into this, I noticed Patagonian Hops. This IPA is not as hoppy as other IPAs, however, this is a quite balanced beer. Dark orange color, nice lacing, malty, with a crisp hop finish. Very good beer! KamGoPro (220) - Texas, USA - JUL 22, 2014
Strong leafy ipa aroma that is amazing! Dark amber pour. Strong hops through and through with caramel and subtle citrus Da314man (16) - LONGMONT, Colorado, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Heavy but BALANCED Malt to Hop ratio. Not your typical West Coast IPA. Hops pack a punch but the heavy malt brings it back to earth making it a heavy IPA. Still awesome to have such a great beer in a can keeping it fresh and easy to enjoy at the lake! cubbysaturn (3) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 9, 2015 does not count
I was in love with Dales Pale Ale and Goose Island IPA until I discovered Upslope! Love the taste my only problem with it is the high ABV. I love my beer and after three of these I’m done for the night. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 1, 2014
12oz can pours with a clear copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma is inviting with spicy hops and pine hops that move into a mild citrus hop note plus a light mix of biscuit malts and sweet maltiness. The taste delivers a mix of sweet malts, pine hops and grapefruit to clementine citrus hoppiness. To midway the hop bitterness surges forward along with some spicy hops as well. There’s a modest sweet malt to crystal maltiness creating a nice base for the hops. Solid IPA.

Solid IPA. Not earth-shattering but well made and packs enough punch to avoid generic. Granted I just drove for 14 hours and it's the first beer I'm drinking in my hotel room so I'm biased.
Can in Fruita, CO.

12oz can poured into a Shaker at 48°. Color is a deep dark golden brown with a nice tight head. Aroma iof roasted malt with just a hint of hop in the back. It has a medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is rich with the malt showing bold and slightly roasted giving a caramel taste and a hint of coffee, then a light hop flavor comes in spicy with a mild bitterness. In the after taste the malt flavors drop off leaving the bitterness standing out then fading. Overall its a great brew, very well balanced and tasty. I think a lot of people will say this one is not hoppy enough, but I feel its very well done. phildorsey (161) - Fort Carson, Colorado, USA - FEB 9, 2014
12oz. Can. Pours clear, fizzy and dark amber. Aroma is fruit flavors and bold. Taste is heavy, hoppy and bitter. The finish is strong and malty, and the alcohol content seems exact. Great beer...

slight hazy copper color with an off white rocky beige head that lingers around for a long time. Upfront grapefruit aroma. Lots of hop bitterness in this one with a medium body. Some spice towards the middle and a lingering hop finish. This IPA is way under rated. Wanted there malty brown ale but Total Wine was out. They just need to improve their logo and add some color to their glassware. I would think that the mauve color is not very popular with beer drinkers. VitaminR (540) - Colorado, USA - NOV 9, 2009
Intense fresh hop and caramel nose, some strong grapefruit notes as well. Deep aged amber color, thick frothy head. Soft caramelized lavender petal sweetness, nice spicy bitter balance. Carbonation is big with tight bubbles, body is on the lighter side of medium, has a big floral bitter finish that tapers off into the deceptively high alcohol warmth. Nice beer, drinks really well, great to see an IPA that can deliver with so much finesse.
