Smooth, roasty and sessionable, our Oatmeal Stout packs full flavor and a robust body for a silky drinking experience. Brewed with oats, roasted malts and East Kent Golding hops, our stout is perfectly balanced with a full body and smooth finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A bit more malty than I really like but after a few tastings this is actually a good brew. Like a said...Malty, a bit of chocolate and coffee with a nice dark color

Aroma: dry and roasty; Appearance: pitch black with thin off white head that barely lingers; Taste: follows nose with classic stout flavors; Palate: medium-heavy body with long, dry finish; Overall: decent for a stout but nothing special.

12 oz. can. BBD April 05 17. Pours a thick, well retained, beige head, with moderate lacing, over a clear black brown (SRM 40) body.....nose is heavy roasted malts, with chocolate, coffee, slight toffee/caramel, mild hop spice, balance to the malts.......taste to start is lightly sweet with toffee/caramel tones, mild lactose notes, coffee, chocolate from the roasted malts, slight oats, becoming dry with light bitterness on the finish.....mouth feel medium light slightly sticky, mildly creamy body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation. The oats are a bit light for the style and as a result the body is a bit light. A light increase in the malt bill, primarily oats, would correct. BJCP 7/2/14/3/6

sepia, thin white ring head. Biting roast with light manure accents and chocolate. Heavy roast elements front palate, super-dry with high attenuation. Sawdust and oak bitterness late, super rich roast with no break, not sweetness.

delicate roast, mild sweet burnt cookie, light s=tar .. . deep brown .. lowish foam .. lacing is low .. . medium chew, easy roast finish, i like this .. . . i carry an axe in my car, not for violence, but it makes a great conversation piece when i’m bounding and gagging the homeless men i pickup for role playing games
