Growler, freshly tapped keg, Late Feb 2012: strong banana and fresh sourdough aroma...dusty around the edges. Extremely cloudy yellow straw, thin ivory ring at the edges. Slightly tart flavour, with a touch of citrus fruit, butterscotch and bitter vanilla. Palatte is very full, evenly carbonated and lively. Great beer. Great Growler.

Marzipan, doughy yeast and orange liqueur lay out a spicy, sweetish Bière de Garde-like brew.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the misty golden translucence.
-Voluntary oxidation notes peek through.
-Carbonation is soft, and the mouthfeel is juicy.
-Herbal hop bitterness adds to the finish.
-Spiciness is kept subtle, which I appreciate.
-Flavor profile is a tad watery at times.

Label states bottled on date is located on the 16.9floz bottles neck. It took some time, but I manage to find it as it is dark on dark: 01.26.2017. $2 paid and I’ve had this beer about 10-12 times before. 5.3% ABV according to UCBC’s website. Consumed 02.28.2017. Tulip glassware. A highly drinkable deep golden Belgian style ale. Not a marquee saison, but a good beer nevertheless. Smells sorta like a pasture where cattle graze. A rather subdued ale, which makes it palatable for various settings. It’s still yeasty though with notes of grass and herbs thrown in. Draught at Kaschk. Deep gold with a medium head. Aroma of malt and spice. Flavour is a bit bland, some yeast and spice. Sweet finish.

500 ml bottle purchased as a single at Bombay Wines and Spirits in St Charles, Missouri. 2016-03-03 on date on the bottle. The pour is clear golden with tons of active carbonation bubbles that rise to the surface and build up a one inch foamy white head. The aroma is banana clove, hay and general Saison yeast. The taste is the clove and hay of the nose up front, followed close behind by the banana and Saison yeast. There is a touch of citrus in the back as well. Robe ambrée claire, limpide, bonne pétillence, mousse blanche de faible tenue. Nez levuré (fromage) et malté (biscuits, caramel). La bouche est également sur les saveurs de levures (banane, fromage) et de malts. Légèrement sucrée, la finale est finement houblonnée (herbes) et épicée (poivre). 500ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity, slightly floral and dusty, yeasty aroma, hints of apple, lots of clove, a wheaty touch. Taste is pale and wheat malty, notes of clove, hints of apple and pear, a minimally floral and dusty, yeasty touch. Slightly clumsy.
