COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewmaster Florian admittedly hasn’t dabbled in ciders too often. So when he described UCBC’s very first cider, Bushelhead, as estery and a little ’winey’ we weren’t sure if he wasn’t being a bit ’whiney’ himself. So we’ve declared that besides being a cider, "Bushelhead" is a homonym meaning ’winey’, ’strong cider’, or ’whiney’. Thus our tagline - "Bushelhead - A bushelhead, bushelhead created by bushelhead brewers.’ Stats: ABV - 7.3%, IBU’s - N/A, OG - N/A (Small Nonic)

I had this at Dressels Pub. Pours light yellow with no head. Taste sweet, apple, mildly tart. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear gold on tap with minimal bubbly head that dissipates quickly. Aroma and taste of sweet apple notes and a touch of crusty bread and white grapes. For a cider, this is not too bad.

Pint at Treehouse after John and Holly’s wedding. Hazed and golden. I am not a fan of ciders but liked this one quite a lot. It is sweet and so delightful to drink. Drinks like the apples I eat. Just st a little yeast and malt notes. No hops found. A very pleasant surprise.

On tap at Global Brew. Pours a clear golden cider color with no head. Aroma is apple juice. Taste is slightly tart apple juice and white grapes. Very good and refreshing with out too much carbonation or tartness.

Draft at Bailey’s Range. Pours light yellow with a white head. Apple on the nose. Has some solid yeast characteristics that make it kind of estery. Finishes clean. Solid.

Draft to taster. Looks decent; a misty transparent pale pineapple with thin white lacing. Smells like straight up apple cider. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Some green apple tartness. On the sweeter side, but not bad.

cbfobes (2888) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2015
On tap at Urban Chestnut, pours a clear amber, just like apple juice, aroma was of heavy apple with quite a bit of booze behind it though too, and overly sweet, the flavor was overly sweet on the front end with a very boozy finish, I would of guessed this was 10% or bigger if tasted blind, ugh.
